9. At this point though
That's probably a Travis County result where we expect Doggett to do well.

12. AP says that Doggett won
However, it appears that Chris Bell may lose his seat in a primary. It appears that after trailing earlier, Ciro Rodgriguez will hold off a challenge from Henry Cuellar.

10. Dean needs to get 15% in a district to get delegates
We'll see how that goes. We expect he'll get something from Austin.

Also, we have more delegates to be apportioned at our state convention in June. This process started with our precinct conventions tonight. The results from my caucus were: Dean-4, Kerry-3; Kucinich-1; Edwards-1; Uncommitted-1.

13. I was the only one who stayed for my caucus in my precinct, so
I'll be going to the senate district level for Dean. I can also get other primary voters in my precinct to attend with me... up to the 15 delegates and alternates allotted to my precinct. I heard from others in my county that they were also the only or one of only a couple caucus-goes, and were there for Dean. So, we could very well end up with some delegates to send to the convention after the process works through.

7. Exit polls

Longer: http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/politics/8145534.htm

ANGER AT BUSH: About half of those voting said they were "angry" at President Bush's administration, and another one-third said they were "dissatisfied, but not angry." Only one in six said they were satisfied, but most of them added they were "not enthusiastic."

ANGER AT PERRY: About three in four Democrats were either angry or dissatisfied with Gov. Rick Perry's administration - slightly better support for the Republican governor than they gave to Bush.

Interesting that there was no comment on the question of "reliability of touch screen voting"- which was also asked on this poll.

8. My GOP friend quipped about Dems voting
for about candidates not running. They get the Kucinich thing but just had to laugh and start with the wisecracking when I told them the percentages for Gephardt and Lieberman.

Any good comebacks? I'm too tired...
