Did Sharpton drop out?
I heard something on the radio just now about Sharpton dropping out the race. Any confirmation on this?

3. Sharpton is nobody's fool.
Political debt is nothing new. I think John Glenn is still paying his campaign bid attempt off and that was in the 80's.

I hope Sharpton stays.

17. Why should Sharpton drop out?
Until the FEC lawyers catch with him or his GOP campaign manager quits, he can continue to rack up debt, stay in fancy hotels, and eat like a king.

4. It would seem strange he would do so now
After placing third in the Florida and Mississippi primaries, and 4th place in Texas, although not on the Louisiana ballot where he might have pulled in similar scores.

If he drops out now he won't be able to speak at the convention, will he? And it is my understanding that this was why remained in the race.

5. .
3th/4th of how many serious candidates?
What if he suspended his campaign like Dean to keep his delegates?
From the results I've seen from Florida and Texas, did he even get any delegates? I'd hoped that with Edwards out he and Kucinich might get some more delegates.
Would only make to continue the campaign if he could get more delegates. If that doesn't he should think about suspending his campaign because it's costing him only lots of money.

9. I don't know what you mean by "serious candidate"
But until huge changes are made in the way we select a president--the man with the most money to buy TV ads becomes president, and that is corruption on a grand scale--it will be hard for a lot us to take any of them seriously.

15. damn
Forgot a couple of words in my first post.
With serious candidates I meant that there are only Kerry, Kucinich and Sharpton who I considered as "serious" candidates.
I got to know later though that both weren't on all ballots.

13. Its about becoming a media personality post-campaign
He can keep message in media while making money rather than spending.
I think transition will happen if and when he gets a talk-show deal.

"What the left has missed that the right understands is you need a mixture of policy and personality, because people tend to view and listen to people as well as to policy, and we have not developed the personalities,'' Sharpton said.

18. whether he stays in the race or not
has no bearing on whether he will be asked to speak at the convention.

8. I heard it on the same radio station several times during the night
It wouldn't surprise me if it was a true story. I guess that leaves just Kerry and Kucinich.

12. You should know better
Sharpton isn't dropping out, and since when do you believe the media?

Do you think maybe the media has it in for Sharpton? It's possible, no?

16. Since the people who were talking about it
Openly supported him in the Michigan Caucus. And, no, the snide remarks are not welcome.
