Kerry Accuses Bush of 'Stubborn,' Not Steady, Leadership

"As he scooped up scores more delegates in four Southern primaries on Tuesday on his march to the Democratic presidential nomination, Senator John Kerry turned one of President Bush's campaign slogans against him, saying his rival had provided "stubborn," not steady, leadership.

"He stubbornly insists on tax cuts as he steadily loses jobs in this country," Mr. Kerry, playing off the Bush campaign theme "steady leadership in a time of change," told a small audience at a center for the elderly in suburban Evanston. "He stubbornly refuses to allow the importation of drugs from Canada, while steadily the prices are going up."

"I think his stubborn leadership has led America steadily in the wrong direction," Mr. Kerry, who is from Massachusetts, added, "and that's why we're going to vote for change in November."...

..."I think it's incredible that these people who believe in the free market, who argue about trade all the time and how important it is to have competition, want to shut the market out," Mr. Kerry said, referring to the Bush administration. He estimated that reimporting medications would save Illinois alone $91 million a year..."

1. I like "stupid" leadership...
Since we are using alliteration.

3. Considering the primary ended so early...
Kerry's getting some good ink.

I don't think we have to worry about the media coverage dropping off - especially since Bush is also on the attack.

4. Bingo!
That's the point of "Bring it on!"

Kerry is challenging Bush* so Bush* will attack which results in free press for Kerry.

6. A seasoned....
politician should know how to reply to these base attacks...They created it...

I'm just glad that Kerry is showing an ability to fight back against the Rove Machine, the character assassin of the century.
