Poll question: Will the Log Cabin Republicans endorse Kerry?
they said they would refuse to support * if he endorsed the Federal Discrimination Amendment. Will they follow through?

1. That would be the end of the Log Cabin Republicans
they'd just be "Log Cabin" & that's no good for fundraising and stuff.

3. They'll probably just stay home in November. . .
which is OK by me, since they've tried to have it both ways.

5. I don't think they ever refused to support Bush
I don't think they ever refused to support Bush--If you have an article or quote from radio play I'd gladly retract my thought.

From my memory, On the Mike Singorele show, a representative from the Log Cabin said if Bush supported the amendment he didnt think the log cabin leaders would support bush. Then when bush came out for the amendment, the representative said "It is not up to me to decide what they do, I just work there"

This is a very rough quote from several weeks back--but basically they (the Log Cabins) flip flop more than Kerry and Bush combined :)

On another note, I don't know why Gays or anyone would give them much attention--they are a fringe group who give gays a bad name--The claim to support conservative values but when the president starts policing the world, spending money like mad, and trying to change the constitution, they say "well he is the republican".

6. They may be fringe
but 1 out of 4 LGBT voters voted for Bush in 2000. Certainly in Florida, and maybe in New Hampshire, changing that to 1 out of 10 would have given us the election.

4. Maybe if Kerry stopped waffling on the issue, they would?
And yes I'm well aware of his appearance in the church down south last week, but he still seems to be walking both sides of the fence on this one. Although the mere existence of Log Cabin Republicans always seemed about as logical to me as "Jews for Hitler"

8. If Zell Miller can endorse Bush
then LCR can return the favor.
