Dean's statement on his meeting with Kerry
Edited on Wed Mar-10-04 06:54 PM by Mflorence

John Kerry and I had a very good meeting today. During the campaign we often focused on what divided us, but the truth is we have much more in common beginning with our fervent desire to send George Bush back to Crawford, Texas in November. The future of our country depends on this.

In addition to our strong commitment to turning this country around by beating George Bush, John and I also share a strong commitment to providing healthcare to every American, cleaning up and protecting our environment, and getting the 3 million Americans who lost their jobs during George Bush's presidency back to work.

As I have previously said, I will work closely with John Kerry to make sure we beat George Bush in November and turn our country around. There is a lot we can do together to rebuild an America that belongs to all of us, and we'll be saying more about what our amazing grassroots network can do to help with this goal on March 18.

Governor Howard Dean

4. EXCELLENT
Dean is one of the great leaders of our time. He said unpopular things in an unpopular way, yet his message resonated with a vast number of people.

I commend John Kerry for working with Howard Dean (and soon with John Edwards), leveraging the ideas and political capital that the other Democratic nominees can bring to bear on the most important problem at hand, the Bush presidency.

6. Proud of the strength and unity of these candidates..fighters for ......
...Fighters for democracy. I knew the good Lord would not let Evil prevail against all the true patriots and citizens, who have fought in wars, and fought for freedoms and justice in our courts, and those forefathers who believed in the democracy of the United States of America. I wish Kerry, Dean, Edwards, Gephart, etc., and all those who stayed to fight in this democratic campaign.

That they wisely utilized the airwaves to show many disenfranchised Americans that they were NOT left without a leader, is what will carry the demise of George Bush. It was the uniting of Americans who Bush forgot about, used, lied to, stole from, enlisted and took their children and loved ones to fight in a war concocted by Bush's corporate sponsors, while ripping the heart of the loyal middle class in our Nation by selling our U.S. jobs to those same Corporate pals.

From the thievery of the Bush/Gore election, to the hate and vile propaganda of the Right Wing, our basic freedoms have come under threat by the extremist John Ashcroft. I look forward to a better day, when the United States is truly of, by, and for the people, once again.
I do know that it will take the enormously strong and united Democratic party to put together what the Corporate Bush Regime has dismantled in just a few years.
There were those of us who easily predicted what condition Bush would leave our Nation in. By simply taking a look at his past "business" successes (Harkin), and hiding from the draft, partying his ass off in the oil patch, and his continued reliance on his fathers wealth and influence. Couple the consistent failings with the "mentoring" of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and Powell..Rove, Hughes and Card, George Bush would always be welcoming some other "elders" influence and reliance.
I am not better off today than when Bush was selected...but I will say that I am becoming much happier every day, with
the unity of other great American Patriots anxious to take on the HUGE task of fixing another of George Bush Jr.s failings.

Howard Dean will bring a strong and unwavering support for the Democratic Party..He is a grassroots hero, smart, sensible and committed to his cause.
Tks!!
Blaze

11. It's a great statement
He's right, too. They do have more in common that they have differences. That was true of all the viable candidates. It drove the moderators in the debates crazy.
