Will McCain VOTE for Kerry?
My guess is yes. I mean sure, he'll grudgingly campaign for Shrub and qualify his criticism of * with "but he's a firm leader and I support him." But I have no doubt that in the privacy of the voting booth McCain will vote Kerry. Plus, he's in Arizona, a swing state, so his vote will sorta count.

1. My guess...
would be yes, he will. I think on a personal level, McCain still hasn't forgiven Bush for the nasty campaign he ran in SC.

2. yes, and i don't think he voted for bush in 2000 also
yes, when mccain is in the voting booth i really believe he will vote for john kerry. in 2000 id on't think mccain voted for bush either. although i don't think he voted for gore. maybe a write in or third party. but in 2004, i seriously believe he will vote for john kerry.

3. I would welcome his vote,
the same as I would welcome the vote of any Republican who has finally realized that Bush is full of shit.

4. Most certainly. He loves and respects JK as a person.
He has also said he thinks JK would be a great president.

I don't think he feels anything close to that for Bush.

5. Why Campaign for the Chimp
he doesn't have to do that. McCain is two faced. I'm sick of his "Kerry is my good friend but I think the chimp should be President crap"

14. He doesn't HAVE to
...but I'm sure McCain doesn't necessarily want to cede the advantage of the Presidency to the opposing party. On issue after issue-GLBT rights, reproductive rights, overseas military incursions-the man is a stalwart of American reactionism. His personal loyalty to Kerry notwithstanding, McCain puts the "fucking" in "fucking Republican".

19. I agree with you
McCain is two faced....and he IS a repuke. He'll vote the party line.....like most repukes do,putting party first before their country. He's not going to campaign for bu$h and then vote for Kerry. He doesn't HAVE to campaign for anyone,it's his choice. And he chooses to campaign for Bu$h.Nuff said.

They were both at a conference and someone asked McCain about Kerry.

10. Yup, I saw that.
Looks good. McCain may be able to send enough moderate Republicans to our side to really help us out, even if he doesn't do it outrightly. Good to have a Republican defending our guy!

11. No.
Maybe since he bears a personal grudge against Bush. But I'm tired of hearing about this guy whose as repukelican as they come on the most important issues - war and trade. I don't like him one bit.

13. Yes
He supports Bush because as a Republican he HAS to and he would never admit voting for Kerry, but he will vote for Kerry. He hates Bush and has been throwing these not so subtle jabs at him for two weeks now in the media. He wants Kerry to win but can't go all out or his party will screw him.

18. I don't know if he will
but loads of people who liked McCain & thought what happened in South Carolina was a disgrace, will vote for Kerry.

Hopefully a lot of Independent Moderates who aren't sure about Kerry, will take McCain's relationship with Kerry as a signal that Kerry's a good guy.

Remember, in 2000, McCain had a lot of support. I think if he had run against Bush or Gore, he would have trounced both of them.

20. Yes, he'll vote Kerry
If Robert Kennedy could vote for a Republican candidate for president (Eisenhower) then John McCain surely could vote for a friend against the man who smeared him so badly in 2000.

However he won't engage in the petty attacks on Kerry.
