the Gillespie/McAuliff debate

did anyone else see this fiasco????
I was looking forward to it.....(C-Span last night)

Gillespie was a smarmy sob, of course
but McAuliff....JEEZ
I wanted to throw stuff at the screen
he just did not have the intellectual wherewithal
to SAY WHAT NEEDS TO BE SAID
I was SO frustrated!
I personally could have handed Gillespie his head on a plate
and was so disappointed that our DNC representative
did NOT have the ability to do this!

1. i saw it alot different.. i thought Terry did pretty good,

maybe could have done better, but he definately held his own.

Ed was red faced and stammering almost the whole time, barely retorting to Terry's points...

the only time Ed one-upped Terry i thought was when he brought out that party chair message at the end, and Terry hadn't seen it yet. other than that Terry clearly won, IMO.

4. no, this is not a joke at all!

I can't believe that anyone saw this
and didn't want to grab McAuliife
and say....
'answer the question! - respond to Gillespie!'

FOR EXAMPLE
when Stephanopoulis asked McAuliffe about 'terrorism and 9/11'
Terry went on and on about Iraq....
THAT IS SO FOOLISH
because the POINT is that Irag has NOTHING TO DO with 9/11
and even McAuliffe kept mixing it all up
and I find that so frustrating!
