Republicans Against Bush
http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_4106.shtml

BTW, Capitol Hill Blue isn't really a liberal web site. The guy who runs it is basically a nonpartisan centrist who hates Dems and Republicans equally. So I guess you could call him a somewhat objective source, and if he's talking about Republicans turning on Bush, then maybe there's something to it?

Stories like this are heartening, and I really want to believe that there is a big enough chunk of Bush's former base that is defecting to bring him down in November. Having read some of the antiwar libertarian and paleoconservative sites, I know that there are definitely folks out there who voted for Bush in 2000 and now regret it. The question is, are there enough of them to make a difference?

1. It is good news
I don't know anyone who voted for Gore in 2000 who will now be voting for Bush in 2004. But I know many people who voted for Bush in 2000 who will now vote for whoever is the Dem nominee in 2004. Too bad they'll be stealing the election again.

3. My hair stylist agrees!
My one indulgence (ok, other than chocolate) is to go to an upscale salon in DC that is frequented by probably a lot more Repubs. than Dems. My hair stylist says that a LOT of his Repub. clients have said they are very disappointed in * and will not donate or vote for him this year.
