WH conditions on 9-11 commission testimony - rove mistake?
ANOTHER rove mistake??

What happens when another forthright American comes forward (ala Clarke) and tells the truth under oath about bush's lies and the White House wants to refute (the truth) by testifying before the commission? The commission can refer to the rules the white house (rove) set and deny the reaquest OR they can allow bush to FLIP FLOP ONCE AGAIN. Keep up the good work karl.

1. It will also be Kean's mistake
for allowing them to get away with it.

2. It's really hard...
to try to spin this into a plus for the administration. They look guilty. They act guilty. They make a stand based on principle, then flip-flop. Not good for the republicans.

3. I agree with you.completely... but you know what? NOBODY CARES

it all goes down the memory hole, thanks to Rove's media whores, and Bush's poll numbers continue to soar. Just look at the most recent Gallup poll for evidence of this. I wish it were not so.

4. I respectfully disagree....
.... I think that the public does care. Further, I think the media is beginning to report more accurately. I've posted two examples this morning -- on CNN and MSNBC the tone of the morning programs has to be upsetting for the public, and even more so, for the administration. You note the Gallup poll, so clearly you are able to document good evidence to support your position. But I think that the tide is turning. And the force of nature that is causing this is NOT the wealthy bush-backers. It's the American people. I think the Dean forces woke the sleeping giant. We owe them a huge "thank you!"

5. they ARE guilty!
that's the thing that no one is saying.

All the things that Clarke is saying were known before. It was clear to anyone who took the trouble to pay attention that Bush did not see terrorism as a top concern. Nothing in their campaign info or anything prior to 9/11 contradicts this.

They ARE liars. that's why they are behaving like guilty children.
