Arkansas: Bush 45% Kerry 45%
May 3, 2004--President George W. Bush and Senator John F. Kerry are tied in Arkansas. The latest Rasmussen Reports survey in that state found both men earning 45% of the vote.
Adding Ralph Nader's name to the poll has absolutely no impact in this key Southern state.

Just 49% of Arkansas voters believe the U.S. is winning the War on Terror. Thirty percent (30%) believe the terrorists are winning.

Forty-nine percent (49%) of Arkansas voters say they trust Bush more than Kerry when it comes to national defense issues, but 42% prefer Kerry. On a national basis, the President has a larger advantage on this issue.

2. Evidence that we should stop southerner-bashing on DU.
Adding Ralph Nader's name to the poll has absolutely no impact in this key Southern state.

They have more sense than many.

10. Yeah, it really would
They liked Clark in Oklahoma too. I kind of thought Edward would bring alot of spunk and also pull in those rural and labor voters. But Clark appeals to a whole different group of voters and the thing about that group is that they actually VOTE.

12. Put Clark on the ticket
& you will win Arkansas, West Virginia, Arizona, & New Mexico.

And there are plenty more he will make competitive.

8. The best strategy for Kerry...
In AR and OK is to just say "Bush is from Texas. I am not."

He'll landslide there. ;-)

11. AR is probably the only Southern state that's winnable
with 10% undecided, this actually gives Kerry an advantage, undecides break 2:1 agains the incumbent. So Kerry could be up by around 3.

Getting Clinton to stump for Kerry in Arkansas will work wonders.

Oh, yeah - WE ARE MOTIVATED!
We are ready. You should hear some of the crap being spewed by the Repub challengers to our Senator and Representative. Some of it is just unbelievable.

18. I wanted to go so bad
BUT it was my anniversary and my hubby didn't think it was a great place to celebrate. BTW, Bill Richardson was supposed to be the keynote speaker. I would have loved to have seen him.

19. Hey, Demreformed
:hi:

Initially Wes was supposed to be someplace else, so he suggested Richardson, but then Wes's schedule changed and Kerry wanted him to do it - or maybe the other way around.

15. I am getting tired of saying it but Rasmussen is unreliable
Live by it, die by it. He goes all over the place. It is an automated poll which means respondants essentially self-select. Better than an internet poll but not much.

20. Looking at the info on that site I posted
I am ashamed to say that MY county went overwhelmingly for the dingbat in 2000. UGH! I completely agree. Arkansas SHOULD be Democrat. We plan on working on it HARD. BTW, most of our legislators ARE Democrats (only one Repub at the federal level).
