Kerry's $25 million ad blitz: during MAY SWEEPS. Very smart move.

Kerry caught a lot of heat for not going on the air earlier (I too question that decision). But by running his blitz during the May sweeps rating period, he's going to be seen by a lot more viewers. More people watch tv during the sweeps because network news and entertainment execs are programming to attract more viewers, higher ratings, bigger ad revenue.

Though I'm sure a lot of his ad buy is on cable, there should be additional pay-off as more people are at their tv sets, watching specials, and special reports - and will graze the cable stations.

Always looking for the silver lining. That said, the one ad I saw is very impressive.

3. Will Kerry's ads run on local Fox stations or have they shut him out?

5. They will run on whoever Kerry Inc pays them to run them...
No stations are "shutting out" his ads.

4. They are great!
I am becoming more and more impressed on how he is addressing the smear via a high-road response.
The ad that speaks to this nation being one of 'doers' who need to believe in ourselves again, smacks Bu*sh's scaredy-cat tone head on.

Time to make another donation...these are not going to be cheap.

6. This sounds like a very good move
This is still way early to start this type of advertising during a normal campaign cycle but this is not going to a normal campaign.

7. The ad buy is on the local network stations as well as cable channels!
In the battleground states ad well as in Colorado and Lousiana!
