Bush claims he isn't rich???
Edited on Tue May-04-04 06:23 PM by carpediem
He said it during his speech in Ohio today (they just played it on CNN)

"He (Kerry) can't tax the rich enough to pay for all his plans. Who's he going to tax? He's going to tax you AND me."

He excludes himself from the rich? - in which world is * not wealthy?

And since when is he so concerned that a President has plans we can't pay for? (not that I support deficit spending, but * certainly does!)

1. Maybe the emphasis is wrong...
He's going to tax you AND me.

Oh, there's nothing like old workaday paycheck-to-paycheck Georgy.

2. since he'd in ohio, maybe the "you" is
a crowd from that wealthy cincinnati suburb the CEO of Diebold comes from. They were among his top ten donating zip codes in 2000.
then he'll pitch HIS fiscal scheme of borrowing against the future to pay for their tax cuts... the crowd will go WILD!!!!!

3. Maybe this is true
if he is refering to his mental capacity. I'd say nature proved to be down right parsimonious in his case , when the brains were being passed out.

6. Kerry acknowledges his privilege
in his ad, he says he joined the Navy thinking that his privilege obliged him
to pay back to the country.

I don't recall Bush doing anything like this, in fact he does the opposite when
he talks about taxes, as if we should resent having to pay.

7. how is Kerry not destroying Bush???
"He (Kerry) can't tax the rich enough to pay for all his plans. Who's he going to tax? He's going to tax you AND me."

Ummmmm didnt Bush have to ask for extra money for his Iraq fiasco? Oh wait, hes doing it again.....

Everytime Bush opens his mouth, he buries himself. How Kerry doesnt lead by 25% is beyond me right now.

8. here's his 2003 tax return!
He looks pretty well-off to me. Actually, I think he's like mayonnaise (rich, thick, and oily).
