Funny how Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Oregon, Missouri, Michigan and Minnesota will likely all vote on gay marriage on the November ballots.

I wonder if our media will ever note that this is a Rove move get a large turnout among socially conservative voters?

By the way - In Mass the GOP Gov has backed off the no out of state gay marriages without Mass residency document concept. It was pointed out that non-gay marriage folks do not have such a requirement - they just attest to intending to living in Mass.

So while Massachusetts GOP officials continue to assert that they won't grant marriage licenses issued to same-sex couples from out of state, they agree such couples don't have to provide proof of residency - they just need to assert the intention to stay in Mass -

1. It's not on the Minnesota ballot yet
and, the last I heard, it probably won't be as the state Senate may be able to block it. The proposed Constitutional amendment in Minnesota is espescially nasty as it also outlaws civil unions.

2. A piece of good news!
I thought it interesting that the legal types had it correct 3 weeks ago re ability to stop things in Mass via the 1913 Law - namely - that Mass was an "intent" state so it was all just playing to the GOP Gov's right wing Base.

4. also polls show that it's not supported by a majority
I doubt it'll get through the Senate. The House isn't taking much action on it either.

3. I sort of read it as
They have to provide a Massachusetts address, but they don't have to have proof they are living there. Just how I read it. Easy to bypass anyway, just get a friend to forward your mail
