...and did not come up with too much, besides a Yahoo Group and somthing on Kerry's website.

BUT PLENTY of sites for "Vietnam Vets Against Kerry..."

I find it hard to believe the DEMS dont have somthing like this already in place.

Any chance DU Vets can get somthing going on this? Are interested DU Vietnam Vets contacting the Kerry campaign?

Is there a counter-petition from Dem. vets to hedge this O'Neil group?

I would be suprised if Kerry is not already doing somthing- but I am worried- google the phrase and see what I mean...

What about calling some shows on Air America?

Are any DU vets putting anything together- any tangible ideas out there?

Now, I missed the Vietnam War, served (1975-1978),
but still, I know a guy who has a Silver Star
and Bronze Star and 3 Purple Hearts trumps a
National Guard pilot who didn't get around to
taking his flight physical. ;)

I know this may sound funny to some, but I was against
the war in Vietnam. I LOVED the Vietnam Veterans Against
the War. I wanted our boys to come home. Just like I do now.

I have no idea if Vets are working on somthing or not-I would assume they are...

...but I googled "Vets for Kerry" and came up with very little, and a bunch of hits for "Vets against Kerry"...

...there needs to be a visible counter-organization to this O'Neil/Rove group...

I understand that the Founder of the popular Liberal site "Daily KOZ" is a Gulf War vet- perhaps a DU vet could contact that guy- or perhaps Air America would be glad to help a DU spread the word...


Between DU vets, Blogs, Air America and the Kerry campaign, it may only cost a little time...

I cant help much (but I will volunteer 4 Kerry this Summer, just the same), I am not a vet- I was just curious if anyone new of what the Vets for Kerry out there are up to- the google search was not encouraging...

Sad....it was a piece-a-shit war. Not to demean anyone who served their country's bidding, but even the leaders of that war (like MacNamara) think the war was wrong.

This O'Neil/Rove group is getting press- and DU Vets may want to contact the Kerry campaign, or a website, or Air America, or somthing, in order to get "vets for Kerry" more of a spot light.

This is more about Kerry's stance on veterans benefits and giving ALL Americans, including veterans a voice and a fair shake. Dont make this about Vietnam in particular.

On the Kerry website there is a specific link if you are a former veteran. And to be realistic, many veterans, especially WWII vets don't use the internet...and by that I mean the majority of senior citizens do not use the internet. So there are probably many Vets for Kerry, just not in online communities.

But please, do start such a group. I'm only 21 so I'm not available...

Anybody can say they are a Vietnam vet on the internet. You can tell people you are Jesus F...ing H Christ if you want.
I don't put it past freepers to say they are Vietnam vets against Kerry. I want to see all the DD-214s of all vets who are against Kerry. I'll bet I wouldn't see 10% of these creeps with a valid Vietnam service record.

I'm a Vietnam vet and I have contributed to Kerry's campaign and will again soon.

I have no idea how all this works- but it looks like Kerry could use your help on this front- and the help of your Vet friends.
