Gallup poll: Kerry Gaining!!
After trailing Bush in three consecutive Gallup polls, Kerry has pulled ahead for the first time since early March. Kerry has 49% support and Bush 48%, and even with Nader facotored in, both candidates have 47% support.

Although this is well within the marin of error, previous polls have shown Bush beating Kerry outside the margin of error.

3. After factoring Jeb Bush in,
George Bush holds on to a narrow 6-point lead over his Democratic challenger.

6. NBC poll was great
It showed 49% do not think Bush deserves re-election 45% do. That is the most important number.

By RANDY LILLESTON, USA TODAY
Released MAY 5, 2004

(May 6) - Americans are more dissatisfied with the nation's direction than at any time in more than eight years and President Bush's job approval rating has sunk into a tie for his worst-ever showing, according to a new Gallup Poll.

The poll, released Thursday, indicates 62 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the way things are going in the country. That is the highest dissatisfaction number since early January 1996 - shortly after the federal government shut down briefly when Congress failed to reach a budget agreement. Thirty-six percent of those surveyed were satisfied with the way things are going in the U.S.

-----snip---

A Gallup survey in early April indicated 57 percent of Americans were dissatisfied with the way things were going in the country and 41 percent were satisfied. The job dissatisfaction numbers have been on the rise since early this year.
