Kerry needs to address/defuse a personal aspect
I'm unhappy that it appears that the monotone (read "Boring") speaking voice John Kerry uses is something even the more liberal 'amusing' pundits are making fun of.

The 'dullness' of Gore is what killed many votes for him (although he still DID win the majority of votes, but that doesn't matter here in the heart of Democracy, does it?)

IMO John Kerry needs to say, at least a couple times in his speeches; that he admits to sounding a bit dull -- but that doesn't mean that he can't capably govern our nation, that doesn't mean his thought processes are as droning as his tone - he may sound mind-numbing but his mind is FAR from numb.

I know, this shouldn't matter because people *ought to* listen to WHAT a person says over HOW they say it -- but look at the quality of the Average American of late, AND their voting habits!
A.D.D. to the max.
How they judge people on how they LOOK and SOUND over WHO they are and WHAT they have to say!

And for God's sake DON'T make it LONGER than a SOUND BYTE because the majority have lost critical thought to even comprehend anything longer!!

It's indeed sad but in this new millenium it is very much needed!

1. Personally I am writing the Daily Show
I know that Jon Stewart has to make fun of Kerry, but he needs to drop the "boring" theme. . .basically it is irrelevant, and it just encourages the "dumbing down" of politics that Stewart purports to be against.

3. as of last poll they were running neck & neck
47% for each.

And THIS immediately AFTER a White House/Armed Services scandal!

There is NO room for complacency, especially when Kerry is NOT Leading!

Sheesh.

8. Sheesh....it's Gallup!
They're always the poll Bush does the best in. Shave about 5-10 pts off that number if you want reality.

5. Intelligence Matters
I think that should be a theme. I'll take boring and smart over "likeable" (?) and incompetent any day. The disasters we're facing are the result of an administration that apparently does not READ.

6. Yeah, they ran that in the primaries too
Didn't turn out to be true then either. Maybe Americans really aren't as dumb as some would prefer to think, maybe Americans are just waiting for somebody to speak to them with some intelligence again.
