Wesley Clark to Deliver Democratic Radio Address Saturday

Washington, DC - General Wesley Clark will deliver the Democratic Radio Address to the nation on Saturday, May 8, 2004.

After a week of troubling news out of Iraq, Clark will discuss the need for new leadership in America that brings the world together, keeps us safe at home and wins the peace in Iraq.


You'll be able to hear the radio address online at www.wespac2004.com starting at 11:15am ET Saturday. It will be available on the site for at least a week or so, so you can listen to it at any time after 11:15am ET tomorrow.

15. Looks like a sign that the veepstakes might be tightening.
Why would the Dems have a man who holds no office and has no former elected office positions, give the address, if he was not under very serious consideration?

This thing has to wound Clark very deeply. He spent 20+ years in a broken and despised institution (the army) trying to return it to the respect it enjoyed before Vietnam. He (and many, many others) succeeded. By the time Clark retired the US military was easily the most respected institution in America.

Now this.

I immagine he will come out smoking.

Also, I've always maintained Clark as VP was a done deal since before he even dropped out of the race. (The last week was only to take out Edwards.) Recent events make that prediction a lock. The only question now is the timing of the announcement.
