Dennis Kucinich, still working for democracy
we now see Kucinich had the best plan for Iraq all along. i hope the Dem party will take that into account and listen to his ideas on economics and domestic policy. DK still rocks.

1. I live in a rural area of Oregon and Kucinich will be here next Fri.
I plan on going to see him. Also I voted for him here in Oregon. I hope he gets enough votes here for the party to listen to him. I like very much how he thinks. Of course I will vote for Kerry in the big election.

2. yeah, i am voting for kerry also (sigh),
but dk makes the most sense to me. he is a good speaker with a good message and a legit. plan of action, you will see/hear for yourself next fri. he should have little problem getting re-elected to the house of reps. i just hope we can get some other people in who will work as hard as he does.

6. I don't think it's the last.
I think there are many more coming; he is right on many counts.

There is no joy in being right on the Iraq issue this week. ;(

But it's true; he was right, and many are waking up to that.

8. No joy indeed. I keep thinking of Dennis these days....
I think the man is crying.

He was *very* somber when he was here, and that was right after the bombing of the mosque.

He *feels* these things.

I don't wish all this had happened before, but I wish that people could have understood the man's rightness before.

Kanary, also

9. I, too, wish that
people could see, and understand.

I believe America will shift, in the long run.

7. The man has vision and integrity like no other.
While I was listening to Rumfilled testify yesterday, I couldn't help but think of Dennis.

Graham was talking about the many people calling for his (Rumfilled's) resignation and even articles of impeachment being drafted before he had even testified, indicating that he had a problem with all of that.

As I watch the Republicans huddle together with this administration awaiting the onslaught, I am so proud of Dennis. When there were articles of impeachment drafted against Clinton, he voted YES to allow the Congress to delve into the situation and begin the investigation. He doesn't play partisan politics. When someone is a known liar, Dennis doesn't side with him just because of the D after his name. He doesn't play the game of cronies on the Hill.

Very often now, I see things happening and think how Dennis' run and his statements are so dead on and that he looks so far ahead and doesn't settle for the short-term fixes instead of the long-term solutions.

This is the man that should be our next President. He would be the breath of fresh air needed to blow the stink out of the White House. As it is, it looks like the stink will be replaced by the stale.

10. Excellent observations.
I will hold on to that hope, to that breath of fresh air. Eventually, even the stale will give way to that cleansing breath. It's hard to look that far ahead when we feel the need right now!

11. We're in it for the long haul, and so is Dennis
As I like to remind folks, this campaign does not end when Kerry is the nominee. Nor does it end November 3. This campaign ends when we realize our dreams, and the nation becomes the enlightened beacon that we know it is capable of becoming.

As Gandhi said, "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." We've just passed the "laugh at you" stage and are in the "fight you" stage.

As the war wears on, more and more people are realizing that Dennis had it right along. As healthcare costs skyrocket, people are DEMANDING that the government provide them with healthcare COVERAGE, not just another stopgap insurance plan or drug re-importation scheme. As the Pentagon budget soars, more and more people are going to wonder why their schools are falling apart, and are going to demand that we fix our own country before we invade anyone else's.

No matter who wins November 2, we'll still be here, in the party, keeping it true to its liberal and progressive causes. And we'll only get stronger, as more people are impressed by our courage and determination to fight for what's right, not just for what's expedient.

14. if it wasn't for Dennis I would have NO hope....
he has been prophetic all along in the things he has said....

I shudder to thing of the little difference between Kerry & Bush these days.

DK is the man who should be the next president if we want to change the way things are heading in this country.....

All I can say is thank heavens for this wonderful man who is still fighting for us....

Peace
DR.
