Does Kerry slum for political points or is he just being aggressive?
Anyone hear the former Dem. strategist(forgot his name, the ruffled guy with the beard) on O'reilly factor with Tony Snow? They were discussing Kerry's request for Rumsfeld to resign.
He made a good point about Kerry needing to come across as a "statesman" and try to be above the typical partisan rhetoric. Now dont' get me wrong, i think Rumsfeld should go, and for reasons that go beyond just the prison abuse.
This might be a bad example to use, because of the extreme nature of the abuse, but it seems to me that Kerry is way to quick to slum for political points at every turn. At times it seems desperate and self-serving.
I know, the democratic(and republican) party have their fair share of these types.
If Kerry comes across as looking for political mileage with every minor and major incident I believe it will be a turn-off, especially if it continues for another 6 months. voters may see the tackiness of it and be turned off.

For anyone else who saw the first part of the program...how bout that interview with Gingrich? Good lord. Snow let Gingrich get away with inplying that there are only 12 people involved with the prison abuse/torture. No metion of the Red Cross report or any other of the numerous reports that point to widespread, systematic abuse.

1. what the hell are you talking about?

Slum for Points??? WTF? I don't get what you're saying at all. Kerry gave a major speech today on HEALTHCARE not Iraq!

Oh course he has to comment on the scandal, he has 40 journalists traveling with him. If he said nothing it would be completely inappropriate to just keep silent.

I think the call for Rummy resignation is balanced and fair, it's not like he's talking war crimes or prosecution here (altho he probably should be)

I can't believe what i read in your post, doesn't make any sense to me!

3. That was Pat Cadell one of the professional "democrats"..
You know someone who claims to at one point have been a democrat but who now bashes democrats at every single opportunity, but since they are referred to by their former (or as they claim current) party affiliation, this passes for fair and balanced reporting.
