My Favorite Wes Clark Interview
was 60 Minutes II with Dan Rather. When he was talking about the "cleansing" of 1.5 million Ethnic Albanians, and showing the pictures of what this is, with such emotion, and said" If you can do something about this, you should." Awesome interview, imo. Any of you have other favorites? (of Clark)

1. That showed the measure of the man

I loved that one too.

As someone said the other day,"Wes Clark should be the President."

I know he can't be but,my God he should b the VP.

Please make it a Kerry/Clark ticket.

2. With the tears in his eyes - you forgot that part
Edited on Mon May-10-04 10:09 PM by democratreformed
I was in New Hampshire outside a radio station listening while he was telling the story of a small boy who wondered why his dad had to be gone off to war. The boy wanted to know if Wes could help get his dad home. We were all crying outside the station.

On another thread today, I told a story about one of my co-workers who, JUST TODAY, said to me: "The best person for the job (President) was really the guy YOU supported." I still believe that too with all my heart and soul.

But, alas, it was not to be. POLITICS got in the way. People can squack about "stump speeches" and other such bullshit all they want, but the best PERSON lost. That's all there is to it.

4. Check out the Washington Monthly article he wrote
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2004/0405.clark.html

"Freedom and dignity spring from within the human heart. They are not imposed. And inside the human heart is where the impetus for political change must be generated."
Gen. Wesley Clark, Washington Monthly, May 2004

6. That article
in this Month Washington Monthly is a powerful deconstruction analis of the Neocon movement and what it's about.

Also like the way that he deconstructs Ronald Reagan's mythological accomplishment of ending the Cold War.....Wes said it best...yes President Reagan, you did end the Cold War...you and the presidents that came before you for forty years!

5. Here's one of my favs . . . but from a while ago
It's from a roundtable discussion from the Olin Foundation (of all places!!) filmed in June, 2001.

http://www.uncommonknowledge.org/01-02/606.html

It was regarding his first book, and shows his thinking on foreign policy, which shows the consistency of thought and action he's had from the start, and what he talked about throughout his campaign as well.

12. Yes.... and might I point out
that IF I BELIEVED EVERYTHING IN PRINT, without researching for THE TRUTH, I would likely be a REPUBLICAN (or, at least so mixed up that I wouldn't know the difference).

13. Looks Like A Smudge Report To Me
Looks like it was something that came out by the repigs, a knee-jerk response to the absolutely frightening prospect of bu$h having to go against Wesley Clark in the general election (no pun intended). It seemed that they tried to smear Clark from the get go, and when that didn't work (it didn't) , they simply ignored him. Well, they're not ignoring him now. Kerry will pick him, caase closed.

Go Wes Go!!!!!!!!!!!

16. That proves what? That it's not crap?
Because there's a picture of a guy who writes for "counterpunch?" It proves nothing. It's a smear page, and it's crap. You can find smears on anybody you want to on the internet.

Things must be getting desparate, when people have to pull up old smear articles on Wes (that didn't work anyway).

15. Oh Boy
All the oldies but goodies are coming up again now that Wes is under serious consideration for VP. All the old smears, distortions outright lies and bullshit put foward by his enemies are going to come up all over again. I don't have the patience anymore. I did this once. I'm not bothering with this fucking bullshit again. If you want to believe Clark is the anti-Christ, I couldn't care less, knock yourself out.

:puke:

20. Does it make you wonder
where they originated from in the beginning? Maybe it wasn't the Republican attack machine after all. Maybe it was a Democrat attack machine.

what does that tell you? The guy that wrote that is an ignorant ass-clown. I can make a web page that says anything I want. That "article" is really old and tired.

23. Oh man.
THAT one really got me. It showed just how compassionate and caring he really is. My favorite would have to be his FAUX news interview where he did his classic SMACKDOWN on the FAUX news interviewer. It was GREAT! :bounce: Go Wes! :loveya:
