I must be living in some sort of alternate universe where Bush goes through the weekend we all just witnessed and gains ground! WTF is going on.

4. I hope you're right, but
how long can we keep calling it "denial"? Maybe, we're the ones in denial and 50% of the American people actually disagree with us?

2. Zogby has an entirely different interpretation
He indicates that it is Kerrys to lose, and I tend to agree with that acessement.

My feeling is that many are not enamoured by Kerry, but the disdain for what bush has done is so great, that they will not vote for him

3. Kerry still needs to convert the undecideds and moron population
Many still only know him by shrubs commercials. Considering that JK is doing great. Things will have to get better during the convention. We are in a very good spot.

5. Kerry was leading by 3-points at one time a few days ago
why when the administration is getting as bad a press as you can get is he slipping behind Bush in the horse race?

6. look at Bush approval ratings
they're the meaningful number right now.

Forget entirely about any number involving Kerry, they won't mean anything for months, when the campaign really starts.

7. Could this be a bounce from Bush's "apology"?
When Clinton got contrite, his popularity with the public ratings went up. Could the same happen for Bush?

8. But Clinton's ratings shot up into the upper 60s/lower 70s.
Oh, and there weren't photographs being leaked almost daily of Clinton's Oval Office shenanigans.
