1. "Support the Defense of Marriage amendment
and scenes like this will never occur in your neighborhood school hallways, only in white-collar-crime prisons full of Democrats and Iraqi terrorists."

3. This really doesn't help
It really helps those who support Bush because this is just proving that the left will do anything to malign Bush, that it's all about the Bush-hating and not about any real indignation. Good going!

4. There are different forms of expression
What's wrong with DIVERSITY of expression? You can post articles, stories, songs, pictures, links, etc.

And the nation is so divided, both sides so firmly ensconced in their respective positions, that it's not going "to help those who support Bush."

The two sides are set. The person who wins is the person who gets more of his side out to vote (assuming the Supreme Court doesn't step in again).

imho

10. No
The person who wins is the one who gets more Independents out to vote, the people who listen to Republicans and Democrats equally. Stuff like this just validate that the left really has no basis of complaint and will go to any extremes to bash Bush.

12. Well, I'm no pundit
But again, there are different ways to express oneself, and different reasons for doing so, catharsis being one.

(Pseudo-Intellectuals are people, too.)

:)

6. How so?

It's Kerry's job to rally his troops, not try to win over Republicans. If he doesn't get his base out, it's over.

(Maybe an analogy will help: Anyone who understands the degree to which Red Sox fans and Yankees fans loathe, despise, mistrust, etc. each other would understand the divide in this country.)

It's not longer just ideological. It's visceral.

The people who despise Kerry are set on voting for Bush. And the people who despise Bush are set on voting for Kerry.

PS Expression doesn't have to be about persuading others. Expression can be about catharsis.

again, imho

:)

9. That IS my point
Normally I wouldn't say anything to people who put together stuff like this. But something like that isn't going to win anybody over. It would alienate people who might be wanting to give the "other side" a chance. They see things like that and come to the conclusion that Democrats or the left just hate Bush and will do anything or say anything against him. And then they can stay in their little cocoon, comfortable in the "knowledge" that anything said against Bush is just coming from a bunch of looney Bush-haters.
