Why do people describe George W. Bush as honest? Th word I think of to describe him is mendacious!

1) In the election, he denied having been arrested since college, conveniently forgetting his drunk driving arrest in the 1970's
2) He deliberately deceived the American people about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
3) he deliberately deceived the American people about a connection between Iraq and al Queda
4) He pretended not to know about the abuses and torture in Iraqi prisons until he saw it on T.V. - yet reports were already out in January.

The 9-11 Investigation Panel since the session was behind closed doors, not recorded and HE WAS NEVER SWORN IN. Now I can think of one good reason for not being sworn in, and that's so one can lie without having to worry about facing perjury charges if his testimony is later proven to be false. So, we can extrapolate that in all likelihood, Bush LIED to the 9-11 panel.

And that's just what I think of off of the top of my head.
