Vilsack tours Fleet Center and endorsed for VP
<http://www.dmregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20040514/NEWS09/405140356/1001/NEWS>

Governor Tom Vilsack was in Boston touring the Fleet Center and was endorsed for the VP slot by Gov. Richardson.

While I would like Vilsack to be VP - partially so we can have an incumbent Gov. Sally Peterson in 2006 - I am still pulling for Edwards and Clark as my top two choices. Although, Vilsack is very smart and well-spoken.

1. I could live with Vilsack - he would do an excellent job
I am just not certain he brings enough of the right stuff to aid in election. Not enough name recognition. Not enough electoral vote, he's not southern, etc.

But, I do like the man, and he has shown he can work with both parties.

2. National Security
I also do not know how he would stack up in the National Security debate. He was not in the military either. That is okay with me, but not sure how it would play nationally.

3. another point
that I wasn't sure about. That could be trouble. I love Clark and would prefer him in the role. Again, V would be great in the role of VP, but I don't think he brings enough to the table to help Kerry get votes.

4. Vilsack is not very good speaker
especially not on the slump. He is not a better choice than Edwards or Clark but better than Gephardt

5. I have heard him on radio interviews and he was fine
but can't recall anything from the stump. And yep, Gep's time has come and gone, I am afraid. His showing in Iowa clearly demonstrated that he isn't a viable choice - or, I would hope it has. :scared:

6. Vilsack Is Good, But Clark Will Get Us The White House
No one else has what Clark does, period.
It's Clark, or we're done, but if things keep going like this, Kerry could win singlehandedly.
