Now is the time to make the VP pick...
With Kerry leading in almost all the polls and Bush shitting the bed, this is a perfect time to pull a biggie and move that lead up about 5 or 6 points.

John Edwards: A nation turns its lonely eyes to you???

1. I think we can wait as long as possible
if my hunch is right and the VP pick turns out to be Dick Gephardt.

7. Gosh, I hope not.
Gephardt seems like a nice enough man, but....

2. Not yet.
But another 2 weeks at the most. Pick Clark or Edwards, I don't care.

The fallout from the prison abuse is still sinking in, let Bush's war be in the spotlight for a little longer.

3. Kerry says he'll announce his pick just before the convention.
That was on the CNN Headline News crawl yesterday, I think. (I was flipping around)

4. Dean as VP would pull in some of the Greens
anybody but Gephardt, Kerry has a hard enough time excuding any energy or excitement. We don't need Gephardt, he's even more lack luster.

Dean would put some fire in the ticket. I don't see any votes that Gephardt and even Edwards would add to mix.

6. Wait...atleast until June...
I think there is alot more mud to come. Let Bush and company take all the hits. Wait until there might be a positive change...as though that will happen...for the Repubs...

Then announce the VP and take the attention away and back to Kerry.

But now is the time to wait...

9. should wait...
wait until the next down tick...the news cycle is WAY too full at the moment for an announcement.

besides that, the best time to announce is not when you're ahead, i think it's when you're behind, and get some positive news coverage and Mo'

11. Nah.
He's not going to announce till the convention anyway, so why decide now? He can decide any time he wants to.

There's no sense in wasting the pick now, since it won't generate headlines. There's no sense in committing right now, since the guy who seems like the right VP right now may not seem like the right one in another month.

12. No, he'll announce before the convention
That's been the norm for some time.

He's likely already made his decision.

I'm guessing he'll announce on or around May 25, as his current ad blitz draws to a close, so he keeps up momentum.

He is ahead in the latest polls and he hasn't even named one yet. Thats very encouraging. I would wait a while

15. So would I
But I'm not the Democratic candidate. Assuming the news from Iraq dies down a little bit and there's room for a little domestic news, I think he'll make his announcment pretty soon. That's what I'm hearing from others, too.

13. woo woo woo
Yes, I agree. We need Edwards on the ticket. Now would be good. Later would be OK, too, as long as it's Edwards. Edwards is an incredibly persuasive speaker. He will reduce Cheney to tears of abject despair and continue to smile his charming, voter-winning smile the whole time.

16. IT MUST BE EDWARDS
I also agree. It MUST BE EDWARDS. I would like to see the decision sooner rather than later. With all the negativity coming out about Bush's dirty little war we need more than ever to have a positive vision for the American people. Who better to help Kerry in presenting that vision than John Edwards.
