1. Desperation. Bush is Zell's only hope

Zell's career relies on Bush staying in the White House and not being prosecuted.

Bush must stay in the White House and things must get worse. Only through the continued militarization of the USA and through the continued right wing media consolidation can Zell march alongside the emperor with no clothes.

2. Miller had this to say about Kerry 3 years ago ...
Miller has not always been so dismissive of Kerry. At the Georgia Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson Day dinner in 2001, he introduced Kerry as “one of this nation’s authentic heroes, one of this party’s best-known and greatest leaders — and a good friend.”

In remarks reported in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Miller continued, “In his 16 years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington.” Miller said Kerry “fought for balanced budgets before it was considered politically correct for Democrats to do so.”

11. According to the folks at DailyKos -
he's been 86'ed from the caucus. Tip O'Neill did the same thing to Phil Gramm back before Gramm jumped ship to the GOP.

16. That may be true for many of us
who already know what a wingnut he's become. For most of America, though, he's trivialized Kerry and the whole Democratic party. He's a loose cannon and he needs to STFU. Since he won't, though, he's got to be challenged openly.

i certainly never heard him, or anyone else for that matter,as vicious as he was this morning. perhaps, i feel that way because he wears the cloak of a democrat. nonetheless, it was, and
is unacceptable!

19. In a way, U.S. politics are a lot like the WWE...
... where everyone plays a character in front of the cameras, and people can be very different in private life.

I'm not really sure what Zell hopes to gain or accomplish with his siding with Bush against Kerry on the stage. Maybe he wants to be a martyr, but he'll get no sympathy from me.

Any of you notice that? Kind of like the little kid who doesn't have any friends, and does whatever just so someone will "play" with him.

26. This may be a naive question, but can anything be done to petition
the DNC to boot that asshole out of the party? I saw him on Imus this morning and if I could have jumped through the phone line to get to Miller, I would have strangled that jerk. Grrrrrrrrrr........

30. I think he is scum but rather brilliant scum
Once again here's my Zell Miller theory. Zell wanted to be a national leader in the democratic party but got elected to higher office way too late in his life. So he's decided that now all he wants is attention. By "betraying" the democratic party he gets his face on TV, and gets all the attention he could ever want. But here's where he really nails it. He makes money off of those idiot freepers who buy his book. The man doesn't stand for Republican or Democratic values, he stands for absolutely nothing. At this point he's in politics entirely for self-gain and it's a good thing he's getting ready to retire. Rather than say f-u to Zell Miller I just say good riddance.
