What will the Jesus Factor be in the 2004 election?
Some people take the Jesus Factor to be a case of Dumbya's born-again zealotry vs. Kerry's liberal Catholicism. As a liberal Catholic, I think the Jesus Factor will be a more profane reaction in November: "Jesus, Bush is such a moron!"

The core religious nuts have already decided on their vote anyway, so I really don't think Jesus is going to be a factor with swing voters, unless its the profane reaction above.

1. We should..
just go out there and let the public know what a big blasphemer the Chimp is. How very anti-Christian this whole administration is! Hell, even the Pope thinks the Chimp is the Anti-Christ!

2. Highlight the contrast
Between Bush's claims to be Christian, and his every action, which is the exact opposite of what the real teachings of Jesus suggest.

These creeps have tried to steal every beloved icon of American culture -- the flag, Jesus, all of it. Time to take it back.

I don't think anyone who sincerely tries to follow the Christian faith could vote for Bush. And I can't believe that HE is a true believer in heaven or hell, or he wouldn't do what he does.

3. if it is any consolation
rabid rightwing voters of the religious persuasion aren't very happy with * either! That is why he is running around the country trying to convince them of his right wing creds... he really is in trouble if he is having to do that at this stage of the game. What is astonishing to me is that they don't think he is rightwing enough!

5. It will be significant - especially at the state level
Many states are hopping on the "let's ban gay marriage" bandwagon swth referendums, proposed constitutional amendments etc. Dumbya doesn't have to say a thing about it, knowing these will draw out the base in droves, plus some others who might have stayed home.

This will be particularly effective in the battleground states with the added push to get Nader on the ballot in those states by walleted Repugs. Sick.
