Kerry/Clark: American Heroes. Kerry/Clark: Leaders for America
Kerry/Clark: They led in War, they'll fight for Peace. Kerry/Clark: Restoring America. Kerry/Clark: Leadership the world needs. Kerry/Clark: Leaders we can count on.

That ticket will give the Republicans FITS!. It will scramble all of their plans to turn Kerry's anti war protest days against him among conservative leaning veterans. It will reassure the public that the Democrats can be trusted with the rudder through stormy seas. It will make Bush/Chaney look like the Chicken Hawk adventurer pretenders that they really are. AND we will get two relative Progressives into the White House (personally I think Clark is more progressive than Kerry.)

OK, that's out of my system now. My first and only Clark promotional thread in weeks lol. (And yes I think other Democrats, including John Edwards, can make good VP picks if Kerry chooses).

1. Absolutely agree...
what is your strategy on an announcement? Too soon? Wait for the convention? Or announce now and give the Repukes a few weeks to try to attack Clark, let it all die and then go on the offensive at convention time? I have no doubt that they are locked and loaded with lies, scum and negativity for any one of the VEEP candidates.

3. I think sooner rather than later
The pot has been bubbling for awhile now. The attention span of Americans isn't what it used to be. We need more immediate gratification. Wait much longer and the announcement will be almost anti climatic. Besides, it would be a good thing for our team to be set. It would allow our VP candidate to hit the road as our VP candidate and raise more money for the ticket now when we really need it. I like your observation that it will smoke out some of the opposition research earlier that way, and the Convention will always give us a perfect chance to reboot the publics frame of reference on our ticket in positive terms.

14. also
any ideas on what they have planned to overshadow the announcement of Kerry's VP, whomever he or she may be? You know darn well they've got something cooked up and ready to rock and roll to steal any media attention.

4. Just thought of this twist: Kerry/Clark: Leadership the world demands
I know that reopens a can of worms, but it's true God damn it. That is exactly what the world demands from this country for anyone to even think about risking their necks, Euros or Yens to help get our American asses out of the sorry mess we've gotten ourselves into under Bush.

18. Maybe that's a good thing
The less they mention him, the more of a buzz it will create when Clark's named.
Good P.R. Talk about your shock & awe!
