pathetic GOP response to Pelosi
if "blame America first" is the best they could come up with to counter Nancy's excellent thrashing of Bush, then I almost feel sorry for them.

And what's the pastel condo thing, is it an attempt at gay bashing?

Steve Schmidt, a spokesman for the Bush-Cheney campaign, said the comments "represent a grotesque political attack. They're simply outrageous and the American people will reject that type of blame America first. ... American troops are bravely fighting the terrorist enemy and it is the terrorists who are responsible for the violence, not the president."

<snip>

Rep. Tom Reynolds, R-N.Y., chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, said if all Pelosi could offer is taunting U.S. troops "by saying they are dying needlessly and are risking their lives on a shallow mission, then she should just go back to her pastel-colored condo in San Francisco and keep her views to herself."

A Pelsoi spokeswoman said that the congresswoman lives in a red-brick house.

<snip>

Republican National Committee chairman Ed Gillespie assailed "angry Democrats" who "have now adopted Blame America first as their official policy."

Not only are his comments homophobic, they are sexist. This is the minority leader of the house and this dick head repug pig thinks she should "keep her views to herself"?

4. Calling Bush incompetent is blaming America first?
I swear they must have hired a staff writer from the Simpson's to draft this response.

7. When will Republicans in California and Massachusetts tire of this?
Edited on Thu May-20-04 02:09 PM by leyton
The GOP continually criticizes these two states. He's a Massachusett's liberal. She's from a San Fransisco condo. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mitt Romney ought to speak out and tell the GOP to stop dissing their states. If I were the Democratic governor of a conservative state like Mississippi, I'd demand a bit of respect from my party.

11. Actually,
It's been on the news here lately that Ahnuld seems to have distanced himself from Whistle Ass. When WA was in Sacramento, Ahnuld didn't show up for his speech, and Ahnuld was only a couple of blocks away.

12. Arnold has his faults, but he's a smart man. And by the way, a former
high level Dem. I know in Calif. says Arnold is working his ass off for California and she respects him a lot for that.
