CNN reported that Kerry already spent of his 115 million.
On what?

Bush on the other hand spent $126 million of $204 million but I have seen 20 Bush ads for every 1 of Kerry.

I am in Georgia, I am hoping other states are seeing his ads and where his money is being spent.

1. WaPo says he outraised * in the last two months

<snip>

Sen. John F. Kerry's fundraising receipts surged strongly ahead of President Bush's last month, with the presumptive Democratic nominee pulling in almost twice what the president raised.

At the same time, Bush's campaign is spending money at an unprecedented rate. In part because of a $50 million ad blitz in March and early April, Bush has spent nearly $130 million on his reelection effort, a record amount, according to reports that the campaign filed yesterday with the Federal Election Commission. In April alone, his campaign spent almost $31 million to help counteract a series of negative news reports that have hurt the president's standing in the polls.

Kerry's fundraising haul of $30 million in April -- compared with the Bush campaign's $15.6 million -- marked the second consecutive month in which the Massachusetts senator's receipts have exceeded the president's, according to the two campaigns. Over the past two months, Kerry has attracted about $30 million more than Bush. The president did much of his fundraising last year and has stopped attending events to raise more for his campaign.

2. Do you have a link?
I mean, it's all well and good to report what you heard on CNN, but if you go to CNN's web site (or just use www.news.google.com to search all the news), you can get the exact numbers and report them for us.

3. I personally
don't believe anything on that republican broadcast. As each day passes it become more obvious how important it is to get behind Mr Kerry. We are in dire straits. We badly need a real President. I say give em hell Kerry, we love you.

5. Bush is up 5.68% (without Nader) in Georgia.
You probably won't see JK ads until after Labor Day... or until the good people of Georgia decide they've had enough of Bush*.

Here in MD (10+% for JK), JK is so far ahead that we won't see any ads until September, either.

8. John Kerry has raised $115M, not spent $115M!
Edited on Fri May-21-04 12:16 PM by flpoljunkie
Quote from Washington Post article linked in another post:

In all, Kerry raised $115 million through April 30, breaking Bush's record for a challenger, his campaign said. The Bush campaign said yesterday that it has raised $200 million since last year, drawing contributions from slightly more than 1 million donors, the first time a campaign has achieved such a milestone.

10. If he has spent more money and not been visible about it
I think it would be easy to point to why...
While our ad buys have clearly been less visible (and thanks to pundits for airing Bush's ads repeatedly for free on their shows... jerks) one must remember that Kerry is incurring a whole heck of a lot more of his travel costs while Bush, whose visits are racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars are all on the taxpayer dime. So all of Bush's fundraising money goes to ad buys and none actually pay for travel expenses.

That makes it especially costly when the guy is flying Air Force one to a city, taking that ridiculous Canadian built bus to the town and driving it back and forcing the towns to bring in extra security and military to protect him from protesters. His visit in Appleton on March 30th ran a tab of $500k. Pretty pricey since he only talked to his Republican buddies in Business that would have voted for him anyways. It was invitation only as are all of his events. You'll never hear a peep of a dissenting view at Bush's functions.

Thus the taxpayer is funding extremely overpriced travel for the RNC in effect.

That's where the difference breaks down IMO.
