3. NC is NOT a lock
That state has been badly hurt by Bush economic bungling and soaring unemployment.

Voting for Bush to piss off the Yankees may just be less important than voting his rotten policies out.

In the meantime, if you live in the tidewater, keep educating folks that Bush is a Connecticut preppie who is putting on a big act, that he's a Yankee who thinks he's fooling them and laughing about it.

It works.

5. If Bush has a lead in VA, it is slim
Buck up! Kerry can win Virginia, with Mark Warner's help. Bush is in trouble in Southside and Southwest Virginia, where the economy is in shambles. Take that with Northern Virginia and Tidewater, excluding Virginia Beach, and Kerry has a real shot to take the Old Dominion.

8. I'm beginning to think you're right, ft, but we must be in the minority
because I haven't seen any ads for either candidate here in NoVA.

6. I hope he can maintain it
and one way he may be able to is by Kerry putting Edwards on the ticket. It would keep the focus on North Carolina and homestate pride in having one of their own on the ticket for Vice President.

9. I live in NC and even with Edwards
its going to be too hard to win. Chimpy will use his Religious image down here and the people will melt. These people are scared crazy of the thought of gay marriages being allowed. Although Kerry is obviously the best for them economically they look at ideology first.
