Poll question: Veepstakes survivor! Round SIX, !! VOTE SOMEONE OFF !! Quick!
****IMPORTANT: A VOTE IS FOR WHO YOU WANT AS VP LEAST, NOT MOST******
We'll start off with ten, and vote someone off of who DU wants least. I'll start a new poll either every 1 day or 100 votes, or when a candidate is mathimatically garenteed to get the most votes before 100 votes are cast. Whichever comes first.

It would be nice if some people who vote and haven't said so yet explain why they voted the way they did. If to keep this thing bumped if nothing else.

Fifth round results for top 5 most wanted to be voted out:
Kathleen Sebelius - 38%, Tom Vilsack - 18%, John Edwards - 15%, Wesley Clark - 12%, Bob Graham - 11%

1. I voted Mary Landrieu
We need her in the Senate. There is no guarantee a Dem would take her place. Why do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot by mentioning Senators in swing states????

2. LA has a democratic governor...
sure, an election would have to take place 2 years later, but I don't think it is much of a problem considering she would help to influence voters in Lousiana.

3. Not to mention women. There are more women voters up for grabs than
there are men.

4. Mary is the only non retiring senator I think'd be a good idea for vp
My 2 cents. She has a REALLY good probablility of a bump in 2 advantagious groups. The female demographic and Louisiana voters.

5. I agree...
she would be a solid choice... a moderate woman from a possible swing state. Plus, it would be a very bold choice, not seen as 'safe' as either Edwards or Clark.

15. Me too.
Hopefully NO Democrats in positions of importance will be chosen. They need to stay where they are.

6. Say no to Vilsack
Say no to Vilsack, the name is too similar to Vlasic and with the Kerry-Heinz connection it might be confusing. :-)

10. I voted to Kick Mary off Veep Island
She would make a great VP, but not for this game. Vilsack must go on to the next round.

13. I voted out Landrieu
She has a lousy voting record. She is like Breux who is such a Bush suck up he was offered a cabinet post. She wouldn't have won LA. if not for Clinton getting out the Black vote. She had a runoff because they didn't vote for her the first time because they are on to her. When Clinton personally begged the Ministers, they got out the vote as a personal favor to Clinton not because they admire her.And Clinton had to tell her to differentiate herself from Bush!

16. I voted out Graham
Because he's the worst speaker out of the four and wouldn't add much excitement to the ticket. Edwards would ooze charisma, Vilsack has a strong stake in the Midwest, Mary is wonderful as a senator who could bring the ticket to the right and the to left, plus she'd help to solidify the female vote, and Clark is someone who would instantly wash away any doubts people may have about Kerry's military record.

18. I voted off Vilsak
I think that today we need someone as VP with some international affairs experience. Also, I understand Vilsak is having problems in Iowa--and to take him out as governor when the state is struggling might not be a good thing. Frankly if I were to select an Iowan I would want Senator Harkin.

23. That's untruthful in my opinion
If my "barely breathing" you mean boring.

He's laid back and subtle, he's not a drone though. Gephardt and Kerry are much more "boring" people I believe most people would think.

24. Untruthful?
It's an opinion. I am not lying. Anyway, the mods would ask him a question and he would be like: huh, what? He was barely paying attention. It was bad.

28. Is it now over?
Are we waiting till 150 or until someone has enough votes to loose?

If so, Gov. Tom Vilsack is out. With 145 votes in he is 7 ahead of Sen. Mary Landrieu.

Ready for round 7?
