Poll question: Veepstakes survivor! Round SEVEN, !! VOTE SOMEONE OFF !!
****IMPORTANT: A VOTE IS FOR WHO YOU WANT AS VP LEAST, NOT MOST******
We'll start off with ten, and vote someone off of who DU wants least. I'll start a new poll either every 1 day or 100 votes, or when a candidate is mathimatically garenteed to get the most votes before 100 votes are cast. Whichever comes first.

1. I'll start. Graham in FL for me.
He just never excited me when he was running and I think we someone full of energy and excitement. What was the journal about? I think they pundits would have a hay-day with it.

2. Sen. Landrieu gets my vote.
I don't think she has enough national visibility yet.

Really like her, but not 2004.

3. I hated doing it...
...since I would love to see a ticket consisting of something other than two old white guys, but I had to give Mary the boot for her outrageous bullshit this week.

10. Will the Edwards and Graham folks team up
to vote Clark out during the next round? Or will they take the chance and go head to head with the General in the finals? Or am I getting way ahead of myself by saying Clark will be in the finals?

Any thoughts?

11. Clark will win...
I don't even think that is ever a question on this board. The only question was who would be in the top three...after that...if anything the graham/Clark people will vote Edwards off.

It has to do with National Security and Foreign policy experience that Clark/Graham have compared to Edwards. Edwards strengths are in other areas.

12. But will the Graham people see that they cannot beat Clark
and team up with the Edwards people to get rid of Clark.

Edwards v Graham would be a close vote. Either v Clark will not even be close.

Just trying to play the survivor game.

15. So will former Graham people go back or will they stick with Clark?
With whom does their true alliance rest?

17. Speaking as a Clarkie who flipped from Graham.. I think..
Edited on Tue May-25-04 04:06 PM by Kahuna
Clarkies might vote Edwards off the next round. I think that would be the best strategy. The Clarkies will most likely split their votes between Edwards and Graham. If any Clarkie has a plan. Post it!

8. voted Clark
of the people left on the list my choice is Graham--he has the experience and would make Florida, already within Kerry's grasp, extremely competitive and he could stand up to Jeb Bush as the most popular politician in Florida, if Jeb tries to steal the state--but with Graham on it I doubt it would be close enough to steal.

Nothing against Clark, if he is chosen by Kerry he will have my support but I generally support people who have run for office and have a record behind them on public questions for president or vice president.

9. Kicked Mary
For the same reasons.

Graham is my best choice, though Clark is a very close second. I had hoped that Vilsack would move on to this round, so that Graham could have an easier time eliminating the opposition for the third place spot.

At this point, we should just end the game.

Either Graham or Landrieu will advance one more round, then it will be another tired old Clark vs Edwards game, and Clark will win.

Sorry, but this show is just a hash of old reruns.

13. Its over
With 16 votes to go till 100, Mary is gone. She is 18 votes over Graham.

So the final three are Clark, Edwards and Graham.

Who will DU vote out next?

Can't wait to see.

16. Voted against Landrieu
Edited on Tue May-25-04 04:01 PM by mot78
She's to conservative to be Veep, and would only help Nader garner more voters. However, NONE of these polls mean much...consider the DU POTUS polls taken during the primaries when either Clark or Dean won every time, with Kerry only getting a handful of votes.

if you go by national polls Edwards is the commanding leader for VP among democrats--Here on DU Clark is the commanding leader with Edwards a distant second.
