7. people like this point to three things:

1. No Child Left Behind - which even Teddy Kennedy supported
2. The PATRIOT ACT - which Paul Wellstone and 97 other senators voted for RIGHT AFTER 9-11
3. The Iraq War Resolution - which said that if Bush exhausted every other means, and built up a big enough coaltion, yes he could have his war.

oh, and he supported the war in Afghanistan, which I believe was opposed by people who will believe anything put on the Internet and who live in la-la land where having a frank discussion and negotiations solve problems like "what to do about 3000 people being murdered by a lunatic Egyptian and his Saudi boyfriend."

Many reasons why, but I WILL VOTE FOR KERRY! Though, I strongly feel I must draw the line somewhere being that I hardly support Kerry and refuse to give him funds directly, I will give to help our cause, but in other ways. Kerry lost me years ago and he'll never get me back as a donor. Don't get me wrong, he'll never lose my vote, but he won't get me on a donation list or a button-wearer. I'm for defeating Bush, but I'm not for Kerry.

There are many on this board who feel exactly like I do, so please post with care, but I applaud your enthusiasm.

There are lots of ways to help the Democrats.

Giving to moveon.org, as you mentioned, is one of them.

And dailykos.com is promoting 6 House candidates and 2 Senate candidates in close races.

I accept that some people don't want to give to Kerry, though I gave the maximum to him.

I am giving to Kerry what I can before the convention, and after the convention I will give to those organizations that can still use my money. I feel Kerry should get our money now if for no other reason than it looks good in the press if he has a lot of money in the bank.
