Rank the polls by objectivity/dependability
A few people remarked that they feel Quinnipiac is a biased poll, whcih is news to me -- I've always heard Quinnipiac mentioned as using objective methodology.

So, how would you rank the polls in order of their objectivity/dependability? Here's my seat of the pants estimate. Add any I've forgotten.

HIGHLY OBJECTIVE
+ Investor's Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor/TIPP poll (conducted by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence)
+ The Harris Poll
+ Quinnipiac University Poll

LESS RIGOROUS BUT UNBIASED
+ CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll
+ Time/CNN Poll conducted by Harris Interactive
+ Newsweek Poll (conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates)
+ NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll
+ CBS News Poll

SLIGHT BIAS AND/OR UNTESTED METHODS
+ ABC News/Washington Post Poll (slight left skew)
+ Zogby International Poll (somehwat weird methodology, tendency to seek "headline generating" results)

STRONG BIAS AND/OR QUESTIONABLE METHODS
+ Pew Research Center for the People & the Press survey (conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International) (big left skew)
+ FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll (big right skew)
+ Rasmussen Poll (bizarre methods and big right skew)

2. Zogby
Wasn't Zogby the only one that accurately predicted the 2000 vote? Or am I mistaken?

3. Zogby used to be the GOP's fave pollster
seems they've turned on him now that his results the last few years haven't been what they wanted to hear.

6. Zogby nailed the 2000 vote,
but since then he's stunk up state races and the Dem primaries.

5. Gallup usually hits it right on the head...
I have always considered them to be the most reliable national polling outfit we have.

When you're in that business, and you have the reputation of Gallup, it is in your best interest to get it right.

4. Zogby is hands down the most accurate
At least for national polls. His track record for state records is not nearly as good though...
