A few people remarked that they feel Quinnipiac is a biased poll, whcih is news to me -- I've always heard Quinnipiac mentioned as using objective methodology.
So, how would you rank the polls in order of their objectivity/dependability? Here's my seat of the pants estimate. Add any I've forgotten.
HIGHLY OBJECTIVE + Investor's Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor/TIPP poll (conducted by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence) + The Harris Poll + Quinnipiac University Poll
LESS RIGOROUS BUT UNBIASED + CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll + Time/CNN Poll conducted by Harris Interactive + Newsweek Poll (conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates) + NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll + CBS News Poll
SLIGHT BIAS AND/OR UNTESTED METHODS + ABC News/Washington Post Poll (slight left skew) + Zogby International Poll (somehwat weird methodology, tendency to seek "headline generating" results)
STRONG BIAS AND/OR QUESTIONABLE METHODS + Pew Research Center for the People & the Press survey (conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International) (big left skew) + FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll (big right skew) + Rasmussen Poll (bizarre methods and big right skew)
