Al Gore - I am so proud of that man
At his speech yesterday, Al Gore was absolutely magnificent when he spoke to the NYU group and tore bush and his thugs to pieces. I am sure that there are many threads elsewhere about this, but I wanted to make sure that this great speech was seen and appreciated and gave me hope for this country, that there are people in the USA with a brain and hopefully, things will work out well this fall!!!

I always liked Al Gore. I am sick of the tirades and jokes about him. He would have been a splendid prez and we wouldnt be in the mudhole or sandbox that we are in now had he been president as he should have.

Too bad his ethics are beyond the pale of the repub neocons.

1. I agree
Gore would have been a great President. I believe we wouldn't be in a war or a recession. Also the social security fund would be secure. And environmental programs would be encourages

But the best thing is we would have a moral hard-working person doing the best he can doing the job.

2. I watched the speech last night
and swelled with pride. I loved it when he calmly mocked bush* saying in his state of the union speech " There are a few people we won't have to worry about anymore."

3. Had he been this passionate
during 2000, we would be in the 21st century by now, not in the 13th.

6. Oh, He Became Passionate All Right
Then he was ridiculed for being a fake populist. When he challenged Bush's evasiveness at the third debate, he was charged with being physically threating. "I thought he was going to beat George up" Bush's mother said.

Still, enough people saw and responded to his passion to bring him from behind. He fixed his campaign, and that's one reason I still support him.

8. I don't remember Gore
being this passionate in 2000 at all, the way he repeated HOW DARE YOU yesterday several times. Barbara Bush is an ugly monstrosity who never had decent sex in her life and hates the world for it.

12. Gore Became Passionate After Labor Day
in the 'populist' phase of his campaign, although his "I will fight for you" line was ridiculed.

He didn't have the fire of yesterday's speech, but he was the incumbent and the country was in great shape.

10. he should have beaten $hrub up...
...in fact, he should have bitch slapped gee-dubya into tomorrow. Spoiled, arrogant, obnoxious fratboy. He hasn't changed one iota. And for him, we lost probably one of the best presidents this country may have ever had.

I don't know about you, but I feel CHEATED!!!

5. Great speech!
I hope he continues speaking out like this during this campaign. The Washington Post put it on page 3.

9. WOW..! just read his speech...
incredible.. compare a speech like that to the mangled bungling of the Chimp. Gore would have made a GREAT president.

You said it! Nothing against Kerry/Dean, as I support them both. But I sure wish Gore would have run again. Can you imagine a Gore/Dean ticket! ;) Ok, I'm partial.
