1. great news
Haven't seen any recent polls out yet, but this must mean there internal polls show him close in Virginia, a state Gore got swamped in in 2000.

Some polls may show Bush close in NJ, but I haven't seen any ads here.

2. and people said he was going to abandon the south
remember all those posts during the primary. just because he made a comment that it was mathematically possible to win the election without the south (which is true). but he is working hard and meeting with people like john breaux who knows the area.

3. I urge everyone to support him with donations
25 bucks here or there. Sounds like he is going to fight hard even in the South. he's going to need the big Bucks.

4. does it point to southern running mate ?
do you think this means a southern vp is more likely such as edwards or clark than a midwesterner like vilsack or gephardt ?

5. It's also in Tennessee
and why this isn't being reported, I don't know.
But I've seen the ads. First Kerry ads I've seen.

lots of ads, though they've been on MSNBC and CNN. I hope he'll make a trip down our way, too.

7. they could be ones that run nationally
such as the ones i see in california. but he hasn't put any money for ads into california itself. we just see them since it runs nationally. that could be the case with tennessee. but with recent numbers showing him not too far behind in tennessee he might start buying directly in the state as he is going to do with virginia.

8. my folks just put up a Kerry poster in their yard
This is the first time they have ever put up a sign for a national candidate, and they live in Mclean, northern Virginia. They are in their 80's, life long democrats, and my dad is a USMA grad.

This is sooo cool.
