1. I heard Kucinich say he supports Kerry on Meet the Press

However, I was told by a freeper, and now I read the above, about Kucinich running on a Natural Law Party ticket.

We need him in the Democratic Party.

:(

6. Don't listen to freepers.
Listen to Dennis.

Dennis supports John Kerry. He is not running in the general election. At least not for president. He'll be campaigning for re-election to his seat in the house after the convention.

It doesn't surprise me that the natural law party would endorse him. Many greens wanted a chance to vote for him in the general election, too. That doesn't mean that he's running against his own party.

The Dennis Kucinich Campaign – Your Voice at the Convention!
A Step-by-Step look at the Convention

While the question of who is going to be the Democratic nominee may be a foregone conclusion, what the Democratic Party stands for remains to be determined. The Dennis Kucinich Campaign seeks to continue the debate within the Democratic Party and to give voice to all who are concerned about peace, universal health care, fair trade, and civil liberties. In the months ahead, we hope you will join us and help make change in the Democratic Party.

We have launched a petition campaign to influence the Democratic Party platform and strengthen the Democrats’ chances of beating Bush. We are collecting signatures for petitions that reflect our most urgent national priorities in order to help align the party platform with the values of most Democratic voters. Our goal is to present signatures to the Democratic Party Platform Committee meetings at the end of May and beginning of June. Please sign and circulate these petitions in your circles!

3. Another person oblivious to what Kucinich is doing for us...
I don't know how to say this other than... Dennis Kucinich is a LOYAL DEMOCRAT! He is running to bring Greens and Progressives back into the party so that John Kerry can take more liberal positions. Basically, he's the anti-Nader.

5. There's a big difference
between who a party backs and if they have an actual nominee of their own. The Natural Law Party may back Kucinich just as the Reform Party has come out in support of Nader. Doesn't mean that they are running on any other party's ticket. Nader is still running as an independent and Kucinich is still a Dem.

It amazes me that people will believe any cheap and cheesy looking website out there has factual information.
Kucinich is the only man of integrity running in this race. His reputation can't be touched but some will try.

10. Just because he's nominated does not mean he's a candidate
Just look at all the supposed Democrats around here touting a Kerry/McCain ticket. Just because somebody wants to nominate McCain to be VP doesn't mean he'll accept it.

Same goes with Dennis. He has reiterated over and over again that he's a DEMOCRAT, and will support the eventual nominee. Do Natural Law Party and Green Party people like him? Probably, because he's speaking to their issues. Does that mean he's a member of the Natural Law or Green Parties? No.

DK supporters are quite sick of this line of reasoning, especially when in comes from fellow Democrats. In fact, in my state (MN), our state party treasurer stated something to the effect that Dennis was going to run as a Green to some of our supporters last fall at an event. He was forced, by the state party chair, to retract his remarks and apologize for insinuating such a thing.

It's bad enough to have Freepers on your ass about your candidate (who's more of a Democrat than most of the others, IMHO), but to have fellow Democrats jump on your back, too?

11. Natural Law Party endorsed DK in the Dem primary
Maybe that's where the confusion is coming from. That doesn't mean Dennis is going to be the Natural Law nominee in November.

Some Greens have talked about running Kucinich for Prez as a Green, but Kucinich has never made any indication at all that he would do that. DK has said enough times he's backing the Democratic nominee.
