As HRC campaign raised $10 million in one day - how much should we expect them to raise in April?
Shouldn't they be expected to raise atleast $ 30 million this month?

Won't they be releasing that number immediately because it will be a record month for them?

If it is less than $ 20 million doesn't that mean they were lying about the $ 10 million in one day?

What say you?

1. Well, on its face, that's an impressive figure for a monthly sum, but
after you take out the percentage for Mark Penn's donuts, she's in the red once again.

2. Yeah after that BS day of "$10 million" from "100,000 donors", "80,000" of which were "new donors"
I'd say they must have at least passed Obama on fundraising. I'd say $50 million or so.

But we won't find out for a few more weeks, will we?

7. If they really did raise that much, they'd release those numbers ASAP
They definitely would not wait to float that information out there.

I question whether they actually raised that amount of money in 24 hours...they don't have any accountability for that information (yet).

3. I seriously doubt they raised 10 mil in 24 hours.
I expect their monthly total will be about what it was for March; around 15 mil. Maybe they did though; could explain the new plane so Hillary doesn't have to walk past the press to go to the lavatory. ;-)

6. Just a gazillion?
Guess that means Obama is due for a 3 Gazillion windfall if past fundraising is any indication of future expectations. :)

11. Nope.
The big bucks came right after the PA win. Alot fo folks were waiting to see if she was still in the race. As soon as we realized she was we sent our $$$.

I actually sent $$$ the day before and the day after.... but I knew lots of folks who were holding off to see if she was still in it to win it.

I have to up my expectation to $ 50 million wouldn't you agree?

But I'll be very happy to see that much. I know lots of matching grant requests went out after PA.

21. I don't know.
But I will make a guess. 30 to 40K.

Again, early April was kinda slim for her. Things turned aorund with that big rush of donations the day after PA.

Not sure what has happened since then... tho I am guessing the Wright controversy may have pushed a few more Dem donors her way.

23. It wasn't your numbers I was dissenting...
it was the accusation of "lying."

I know for a fact that MANY, MANY supporters were waiting for that PA primary to be over... before they sent more $$$. It makes total sense, for middle class folks who don't have alot of money and want a Dem win... to wait and see if she was still viable.

24. It wasn't an accusation that she was lying - it was an insinuation that if she doesn't do atleast
what she did the month before then it is doubtful that her campaign was telling the truth. That's fair don't you think?

26. and I premised it with the conditional 'if' and I think most reasonable people will find it
very hard to believe that if they raised $ 20 million in the month before, and then raised $ 10 million in one day that if they don't raise $ 20 million the next month it probably means that they did not raise the $ 10 million in one day.

If you read it carefully, you will see that I never said that Hillary the candidate lied, she never stated that she raised $ 10 million in one day.The fact that neither she nor Bill ever boasted that they raised $ 10 million in one day is, to me, a clear indicator that it did not happen.

I do think that their are people on her campaign that lie a lot. If it turns out that they did not raise $ 10 million in one day it will be another.

27. And my answer is still "nope."
Most reasonable people will be able to think through what happened last month. She won big in PA. We all know that her candidacy was hanging on that.

I think she took in 10 million the entire rest of the month and 10 million in that day after period. Maybe 30 million if she was lucky.

doesn't that mean her supporters gave up after serious reflection?

Before PA. After her "big wins" in OH and TX she only got 20 million. People weren't giving to her before the Primary.

17. Even if they raise $10 million in one day(which I still doubt), minus $15 million
in debt. SHe is at -$5 million. We'll have to wait and see what the rest of the month brought.

And how much of it is eligible for the Primary. I can tell you this, in NC, Obama has radio ads playing all day. I've not heard one from Hillary.

30. Interesting isn't it that neither campaign has said a word about their money
This is the first time that is happened.

I think the Obama campaign doesn't want voters to know how much they took in because it would seem so huge that it would be an unfair advantage.

Clinton's campaign? maybe their embarassed that it won't sound that hot?

32. or maybe the reverse
Maybe Clinton actually did really well, but they like being the underdog right now. Maybe Obama's campaign doesn't want to look weak, so they are holding on to their low numbers.

After she pays all those bills will she be able to have enough left to get back her loan?

What about the poor laborers that worked for her campaign.

Will she let them eat cake?

Will her team be staying at the Ritz in Indiana or the Holiday Inn?
