And I bet one or more also had already endorsed her.

This is just spin, trying to blunt Obama's endorsements.

Hillary Supporter Cuomo: Obama Tried To "Shuck And Jive" With Media

The Hillary campaign might have their own surrogate with foot-in-mouth syndrome who they'll have to deal with. During an appearance yesterday on talk radio -- at almost the same time as Obama co-chair Jesse Jackson Jr. questioned Hillary's tears -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo used some words about Barack Obama that have a very troublesome racial history.

Hillary Supporter Andrew Cuomo On Her NH Win: "You Can't Shuck And Jive" w/Press Corps

A big Hillary Clinton supporter and statewide official in New York might have just given the Hillary campaign a real headache. During an appearance yesterday on talk radio — at almost the same time as Obama co-chair Jesse Jackson Jr. questioned Hillary's tears — New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo used some words with a very troublesome racial history, apparently in reference to Barack Obama.

42. Don't worry so much ..
Obama's ineptitude is becoming obvious throughout the country to voters who want a Democrat for their next president. Obama's faulty judgment with Rev Wright is like a beacon pointing to his lack of experience. Obama sat in front of this Pastor every Sunday for 20 yrs soaking up all the spew this racist Pastor could dish out without making a move. When he did make his move a few weeks ago in Philly with his lamented speech, rationalizing and excusing Wright's behavior as a member of the family. It wasn't enough. And now it's too late.

Obama has wasted so much of everyone's time explaining his personal mistakes that his indecisiveness will affect his viability as a candidate seasoned enough to assume the role of The Leader of the Free World. He's left himself and the Democratic Party wide open to Republican attacks if he is our Dem Nominee. We have no way to defend his actions. How can we be competitive with Republicans when Obama has put voters behind the 8 Ball?

46. Not very likely since all three have already pledged to Obama.
From Lynn Sweet:
Obama picks up 3 more Illinois superdelegates: Daley, Currie and Stroger.
WASHINGTON--When the Democratic Party of Illinois meet next week to finish filling out the delegate slate, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will pick up three more superdelegates, according to Steve Brown, a spokesman for state party chair Michael Madigan, who is also the speaker of the Illinois House.

That's because the three appointments are all pledged to Obama: Mayor Daley --he shares strategist David Axelrod with Obama and brother Bill, the former Commerce Secetary is on the Obama team; Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie (D-Chicago), a Hyde Parker who lives near the Obamas'; and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger.

49. bad info on your part, actually. The CT delegate makes 5. Minus 1 makes 4. Why is that so hard?
From Mark Halperin, The Page:
Net gain: Obama 5, Clinton 4*
Clinton nabs four New York supers — Attorney General Cuomo, Comptroller DiNapoli, former Manhattan Borough President Fields and Assemblywoman Arroyo — after state elects its add-ons.
She is also expected to get Connecticut AFL-CIO President John Olsen.
Obama gets endorsement of Texas DNC member John Patrick, who cites candidate’s record on trade, fighting for working class.
Also expected to pick up three prominent Illinois supers — Mayor Daley, House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger — as the state finishes filling out its delegate slate.
And adds former DNC leader Joe Andrew.
*Superdel Andrew leaves Clinton camp for Obama, subtracting one from her day’s total

21. Not really -- bad analogy
It's more like the House and Senate. The idea behind that setup is the the House is directly responsive to the will of the people -- hence the two year terms. The Senate was designed to be more concerned with the good of the country and other factors that the people weren't considering. They weren't supposed to be pulled one way or the other by the people's fascination of the moment -- hence the six year terms.

Those differences meant a lot more before tv, internet, airplanes, etc. But the idea was a two-stage process where the participants decided on different bases.

37. Many of them are or have been chosen by voters
This is a primary to pick a candidate for the party. The party can do it pretty much any way it wants. There is no constitutional guarantee for participation in the party process.

Anyone who doesn't like it can run for party office and change it.

67. A system that permits discretion by individual SDs is rife for corruption.
It's like the committee that chooses where the Olympics are held. Whoever provides the best prostitutes wins!

If a state has a process for choosing how their SDs vote, fine, but it should not be up to the individual SD. I've been saying this for MONTHS.

41. That's right, she will be beaten.
She needs 70% of the vote in the rest of the contests to pull even. she's not going to get it. Even then she would need the supers to hand it to her. she will enter the convention down 125 and will need the supers to overturn the will of the voters over a 6 month period. that is the only way she can get it, by crook.

Think long and hard about that. She is damaging the party badly already and it will only get worse. I guess that is what you want, which calls into question your motives.

54. That is so what Obama is afraid of. He waited 24 hours to see the polls before
Edited on Thu May-01-08 02:44 PM by Maribelle
he castigated Wright this latest time. Every single thing Obama and his wife, his super delegates and followers, his blog-cults and news outlets in the tank for him, every single thing has been because Obama is doing this nose dive thing in the polls.

If Obama and his herd thought for even a second there is no way Hillary can win, all of them would be making nice. That they are in meltdown mode instead is pure proof they are scared to death Hillary can in fact pull this off. What is happening off camera with folks like Kennedy Kerry can only be imagined.

Obama and his entire cult are scared to death.

When Obama and his cult start playing nice to the millions of Democrats they are now trying to disenfranchise, then I will know they believe they have won.

Because you can't realize that a Latino from TN has friends in NM is not my problem.

Take remedial English.

I'm part Latino and I can respond to posts correctly.

And f**k you for not realizing that Jesus is a popular name in the Latino community.

My name is Jesus Jeff (Lastname). Make fun of it all you want. You are pathetic.

Am i a traitor to the USA now? Could I possibly have family in Mexico and still live in the US?

78. My friend said I need to apologize to you, grantcart... I'm sorry. I trust her judgement.
She is the light of my life and she said I was nasty to you.

I'm sorry.

Our goal is a Dem in '08.

You couldn't have known that my real name is Jesus.

Take care, friend. Sorry I was angry.

60. Hillary 265, Obama 244 not counting the SDs in Florida and Michigan
Edited on Thu May-01-08 02:50 PM by Maribelle
Hillary 280 Obama 249 if the DNC does not screw 2.4 million innocent Democrats.

An excellent and non-biased source:

69. That turned around fast didn't it?
Today:
Hillary +5, -1 for a total of 4
Obama +5

A net pickup of 1 for Obama, with 9 more off the table.

70. First of all your numbers are wrong. He's closed the gap
to 18. And secondly the states screwed themselves. It'll be worked out. The delegates will be seated. Don't you ever tire of that victim act?

74. 4 are add-ons, one DNC.
The add-ons are to be expected, they count though.

The rest of the add-on schedule should give Hillary about another 20+/-.
