Edited on Thu May-01-08 01:45 PM by Dr Fate
Should I hold my breath for "the fighter" on that one?

Now here is the part where the Clinton supporters come in and tell us how "difficult" it is to do that to an old, white, Bush supporting Republican from AZ- as opposed to doing it to a mixed-race progressive.

Come to think of it- I dont recall "the fighter" ever hitting Bush too hard on these issues that she seems to care so much all of a sudden either. If she did, she certainly didnt work to get media coverage for it like she does now.

If she did,she certainly didnt make much of an effort to get it into the media like she does now.

If she really cared about any of those "issues"- she had 8 years to hit Bush on all of them multiple times. If she did this, she certainly didnt make much effort to get media coverage for it like now, cuz I dont remember it.

If they HAD used any of their so-called political might to oppose BushInc the last 8 yrs, she would've been the nominee by Super Tuesday as they planned.

Show me where she or a surrogate questioned his patriotism. His patriotism IS suspect, you know?

Show me where she engineered a 6 week long 24/7 news cycle on who Bush has negative religous associations with.

Show me her numerous media efforts to paint Bush as out of touch and elitist.

Show me these scores of links and examples- if she fought Bush as hard as she has fought the DEM- they should come pouring out.

Make sure the attacks are as strong and as frequent as they are on the DEM too.

Good luck.

Where does she open up on his spirtual beliefs, his associations with known racists, his elitism, or his fake patriotism like she has with the DEM?

There were 8 years and this is the best "the fighter" could do on her top, central issues of elitism, patriotism, race cards and religion?

Even if this was a quote that would prove me wrong, she obviously made no effort to get it into the news cycle like she does now...

One really tepid barb from couple of years ago?

So this is how she will attack McCain?

Edited on Thu May-01-08 03:27 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
To convince the Democratic grassroots that all Democrats are good liberals and deserve your vote. Their scoring methodology is baroque and not very transparent. To me, it is another group that basically want t pretend that the DLC doesn't have any negative impact on the progressive voices of this country. How do they do it? Put the important votes in with the crap, which dilutes their betrayal.

I do not listen to Progressive Punch on anything....they are just another group that already has an agenda, and scores Democrats according to their pre-determined biases.

Oh, and BTW Lerky and Dr. Fate, if I am on their ignore list, too, it is with excellent company.

when taking on granpa, as opposed to a less than one term senator with a thin resume.

There are still plenty of weaknesses to exploit, and whoever the nominee is has plenty of ammunition.

Whether they'll use it or not is another matter- and admittedly neither of these two showed the sort of leadership one would have liked to see in taking on the most unpopular president in modern history. Chalk part of that up to the nature of the Senate... though I expect Paul Wellstone (the gadfly) would have disagreed.

First, you have to illustrate how he's "the same as Bush," without drawing attention to a couple of differences that the media will constantly be reinforcing.

Second, you have to subtly draw attention to what many see as the first stages of pre-senile dementia, without creating too much sympathy.

Obviously, there are many more issues like this out there... and it would be all too easy to blow it by saying stupid things....

If you want to discuss a different subject- on whether Obama is attacking attacking DEMS harder than Republicans (he is not) - then feel free to start a thread on it- but first you need to find examples of Obama going after DEMS like Hill has.

If she really thinks elitism, patriotism, religion & race should be central themes of discussion, then why nothing against Bush & McCain on those issues?
