Here are two possible cures for Obama's Wright problem
If one of these two Men were on the ticket, they could go ballistic on Republicans questioning Obama's patriotism. I know Clark is for Hillary but I think he would take the VP slot with Obama out of a sense of Patriotism. He is that kind of person.

2. Don't be an idiot. The Rigt is going to bring up Wright every day, now until election day
Just turn to Hannity or Rush and all you hear is: Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright,Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright,Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. Wright, Rev. 3. If they bring up Wright, we bring up Hagee
I don't think McLame wants to piss off the Catholics.

As for Wright, he's in the rear view mirror now.

As for your choices for VP, that would be a good strategy.

7. I apologize for calling you an "idiot". When someone tells me to "Shut the fuck up"
thats how I tend to respond back. However, I am adding my voice only for an idea for a solution to something we know Republicans will hit us with. We can't put our head in the sand and hope it goes away. We must be thinking ahead about ways to fight what we know will be coming at us.

As for my post adding keeping the issue alive? I seriously doubt too many voters will be reading my post on an obscure blog, and if they do perhaps it will give them hope that we may have a way to fight back come November.

15. He is right - you are contributing to the background noise
Look around DU. The issue is dying down, at least for now and if you really do support Obama you'll be doing him no favors by bringing it up again between now and Tuesday.

12. By August, the mere mention of Wright will cause citizens to roll their eyes and say....

4. totally agree about Wes Clark. And YES he would. For the record, when he ran, he ran a respectful
campaign, unlike Hillary's. I'm betting he and others wince at times.

8. How about Eisenhower? A Military officer who warned against the Military Industrial Complex

I would keep an open mind about military officers because many are actually very good people dedicated to doing the right thing.

10. The thing is, he spoke out against the MIC as he was leaving office
He waited all that time and didn't raise a fuss until he was outta there. If he ever so much as lifted a finger to do anything about it before then, I'm unaware of it.

I know that many military men are honorable. But I don't like to see the power of the military represented in the possession of the executive, even if it's someone I admire. It sets a very bad precedent for later abuse. The presidency is far too powerful as it is.

I also take issue with the notion that a good commander is automatically a good chief executive, and Exhibit A is someone I actually admire, though he was a horrible president: Ulysses S. Grant.
