I'm going to an Obama rally on May 18!!!

First I want to tell you that the area of Florida where I live is Repuke Hell, so imagine my surprise when I noticed a car with an Obama 08 bumper sticker. I was coming out of a store and the car with the bumper sticker pulled in next to mine in the parking lot. A lovely woman was getting out as I approached my car and I told her that I loved her sticker. Then we began our conversation about the election and how we so hope that Obama wins the nomination, etc. Of course we talked about the bush administration and how we can't afford another 4 (or 8) years of more of the same with McCain. (I also told her that I had gone to an anti-war protest in Kennebunkport, Maine last summer.) Then she told me that there is going to be an Obama rally on May 18th. It will be a Bar BQ and a fund raiser for Obama and invited me to come. I said my husband and I will be there for sure. I have donated to his campaign, but this will be so much better because I will be with other Obama supporters. I'm excited!!
