I call for a 24 hour moratorium on the back and forth vitriol between Obama and Clinton supporters. I will be the first to admit that I have contributed to this, but I think we all need to come together as a party and stop attacking each other. Do I think it a valid argument to keep bringing up Wright day after day? No. But I also don't think it a valid argument to spin Clinton's gaffe during the O'Reilly interview as some evil thing. I think she was a bit caught off guard (you can't deny that actually is one, if the only, of O'Reilly's strong suits) by O'Reilly's craziness.
At this point, policy difference could matter less to me, and I will tell you why-- I just do not see either candidate vetoing legislation that the other strongly supported or that passed through a Democratic Congress. For example, I don't think Obama would veto a healthcare bill with mandates, and I don't think Clinton would veto a bill banning cluster bombs. We seem to forget that their policies have many similarities-- more so than any differences.
Why don't we just let the voters of the remaining states decide and then go from there? I've been as vocal a Hillary opponent as anyone on here, but I think it is time to stop. Let us please focus our attention, if but for 24 hours, on McCain-- the man who wants to continue the war in Iraq "for a hundred years", the man who want to offer greater tax cuts than even Dubya, the man who clearly has no grasp of the issues that affect non-millionaires, the man who wants to bomb Iran and has shown serious bouts of anger.
edit: changed from inter to intra. sorry for the apparent confusion.
