Two people in a room start arguing. They call each other names. Things continue to heat up and they call each other worse names. As usually happens, whether it's because one of them has more invested in the argument or is just naturally more aggressive (an attitude that is frequently but erroneously thought of as a winner, btw) they finish the argument which has escalated to the point that one of them making outrageous accusations against the other while simultaneously claiming that anyone who disagrees is showing bias. The argument has been ratcheted up to the point where one person tells the other to get out. Eventually, the more aggressive person who has been waist deep in name calling and accusations remembers that they need the vote of the other person and starts alternatively apologizing profusely, calling for unity, and demanding obedience from the person they were attacking a few minutes ago.
This is not stated as well as it could be by someone else but on a very basic level it is what I have been watching and what I currently see in GD-P.
