Experience truly shows. The gas tax holiday shows what real-world legislative experience gets us. Clinton and McCain have the pulse of the nation in ways Barack Obama clearly does not. We are truly blessed to have such gifted politicians in this race who can come up with complex solutions to difficult problems.

Hail experience!

I bet they'll even show who well they can work in a bi-partisan way by introducing a co-sponsored bill to make it happen. Go team!

4. Darn, so no bipartisanship, ey?
You'd really think this was an issue they could have easily worked together on. Granted, it would have been 2 against 98, but it would have been such a nice gesture...

7. I know...
McCain is such a glory pig, wanting all that attention for his "gas tax holiday" for himself! I wonder if the gas tax was planning on going to Crawford to clear brush?;)

3. Apparently the longer you have been serving, the more likely you are to pander
with senseless programs that don't solve any problems.

6. You remember when Momma told you that you need to finish at leat 6th grade?
She was right.

Let me help you with 7th grade Econ:

Gas tax rolled back
Price remains the same
Oil companies profit goes up by amount equal to aggregate tax relief
Hillary makes oil company pay windfall tax

duy-du-duy-du-duy-du-duy

the sheer stupidity of the proposal is breathtaking.

10. What if they raised to 25 cents a gallon? Would that be enough?
Then you could buy a pony after 10 years or so with the savings! And Lord knows you'd need it, as we wouldn't have money to fix the roads any more.

12. Absolutely. Who doesn't? Any experienced Pol can tell you that!
Pandering is the American Way. In fact, I want an additional tax credit with every fill-up!

13. Let's do the math
Let's say you are an elitist latte-swiller driving a vehicle that gets only 14 mpg, and you drive 500 miles a week. You'll save $6.57 every week! That's enough for a couple more lattes a week!!

Of course, most of us get better gas mileage than that, and drive fewer miles. So maybe we'll only save enough for a shot of Crown Royal every week.

15. More lattes? Sold!!!!
That's actually a better argument for me than lower gas mileage. Truly, Clinton should consider a tax credit for coffee purchases. We'd all probably vote for her then!
