It's all a mess, though I must say when "The War Room" came out other folks interpreted Kantor to be impugning Indiana residents.

In The Washington Post's review of the film in 1993, critic Desson Howe referred to "a Mickey Kantor comment about the people of Indiana (when it looks as though Clinton's ahead in Dan Quayle's state)."

And a 1995 story in the Sydney Morning Herald said that "As for the good folk of Indiana, they are still recovering from the 1993 documentary War Room, which revealed the grim truth behind the Clinton election campaign. It showed Mr Kantor bursting in on election night to tell other campaign staffers that incredibly, Mr Clinton was doing well even in Republican Indiana. 'And those people are s---!' he declared breathlessly."

Kantor is referring to the Bush White House where Bill Clinton is leading in Indiana--Dan Quayle's home state.

Listen to the tape and the context--where Carville and Stephanopolous are apparently looking over exit polls--begins 3:54 into the tape. Steph has a paper in his hand and says, "What's this? "Holy Shit!" and Carville says, "What? Are those the new ones?" (exit polls)

I watched the viral video with the enhanced audio, which they are now claiming is doctored. Then I watched the clip from part 9 of "the War Room" on you tube at the 4:40 mark as suggested. It was the same as the viral video but harder to hear the whispered "worthless white n*gger" part until I turned up my volume full blast. It was the same thing.

So is there a video version of this out there with "sh*tting in the white house" on it, as the director is now claiming was said? Anyone have this version on video? And what about the two articles from 1993 and 1995 referring to Kantor's cracks about people from Indiana?

Just as the shit she pulled with Wright made Obama answer a bunch of bullshit questions, her campaign should spend this weekend answering this question. My personal thoughts (and I speak for myself only) is that this will sink her. Spending the weekend and likely Monday denying this just as Obama had to do in PA before that primary will kill her in Indiana. And when she loses NC by double digits and then loses Indiana I don't want to hear more whining about how she still has a chance to win.

She'll need to exit pronto.
