I thought Hillary was from Indiana
how could she let people in her campaign say such things about her home state ??

I'm sorry, I think she was from Kentucky. My bad.

They came from my parents, don't you know! Some parents do pass their values to their children.

15. So she and her family have ties to a number of states
SO WHAT?

Was she born and raised in Illinois? YES.

Was her father from Pennsylvania, and did she spend summers there? YES.

Has she lived in New York state (which, by the way, she was ASKED to represent by Senator Moynihan)? YES

Has she lived in Washington DC? YES

Has she lived in Arkansas? YES

Obama likewise has ties to Hawaii, Kenya, Indonesia, and Illinois (and now Washington). Should he deny any of that? Why should he? He's just as much an Illini as she is a New Yorker. He's lived in Chicago and (presumably) Springfield. Should people from those places identify with him? Sure, why not.

Of all the trumped up stuff people say about Hillary, mocking her for identifying with people in a lot of places is one of the stupidest things I've heard.

21. Well sorry, but it's just lame
What is wrong with her saying that she spent summers in Pennsylvania? (Back when regular people could afford summer cabins; I've heard her mocked for having a summer "home", too, as if it was Walkers' Point or something).

I spent summers with my grandparents too, in a small town, bordering a farm. It was such a small town that when we came for Thanksgiving, it once got announced in the paper. If I was going to run for office, heck yeah, I'd go back there, and I'd take that announcement, and the picture of my doll that got featured in the paper when the hospital bought an incubator, and the picture of me with my friend Timmy pressing our noses up against a window to look at a Christmas display that was also in the paper, and the time they turned on the community fountain and (you guessed it, once again, there was a picture of me and my sister in the paper for this) and I'd wave it around and say I identified with that town, because I did, and still do.

that just said Andrews wasn't from Indiana.

Despite having been born there, grown up there, educated there, and owning a home there.

30. Well, having ties to different parts of the country is one thing. I'm cool with that
It is suddenly adopting the local accent to try to re-inforce the image that you have ties to the area, that I think causes people to poke fun at her about this subject.

28. who are these people who "asked her" to be NY Senator?
Since when is it good for party officials to hand-pick an outsider rather than someone actually from the state? Oh, when her husband is a president and big fundraiser.

They bought the NY house AFTER she announced she was running. I've read that they paid off the mortgage on the Georgetown house, not the one in NY.

When she's done trying to use NY as a stepping stone, I doubt she'll settle in NY. Maybe Laura and W are shopping for real estate here.
