Oooops
Edited on Fri May-02-08 04:20 PM by datopbanana
"My friends, I will have an energy policy that we will be talking about, which will eliminate our dependence on oil from the Middle East that will - that will then prevent us - that will prevent us from having ever to send our young men and women into conflict again in the Middle East."

2. I didn't even catch the flub on first read
I guess I'm so used to the idea that this war was waged for oil that I didn't even notice.

How sad that I've become so comfortable with that.

3. OMG.
So it's true... it's all been about oil. His slip ups are quite telling.

BTW in that picture, he totally reminds me of Popeye the Sailor Man. A-cha-cha-cha-cha.

8. I'm passing this one around to my email list. Anyone want to join me?
Can't think of the best subject line though. Thoughts?

"So we're at war to fight the bad guys?"
" And you thought we were at war because of terrorists"
"A Presidential nominee spits out the truth by mistake"

.........................

OH and Kick and Recommended.

10. Did I explain this right? I want to make sure because it's going to go to a lot of people.
Except John McCain just slipped up and admitted it is for the oil. Oil companies are making their highest profits in years again and we are paying for it at the pump and our soldiers are paying for it with their lives. It is a simple economics policy - The less you have of something that people need the more you can charge for it. There is plenty of oil to go around the but oil companies are putting caps on refineries that they would not have been allowed to do unless the US took over and occupied those middle eastern countries such as IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN and in turn occupied their oil. In other words Iraq's oil is not Iraq's oil anymore, it is the US's oil. The oil from those refineries flowed freely until the US stopped the flow.
