That's right - the Clinton/McCain gas tax holiday.

let that one sink in.

Think about all economist that have utterly slammed this proposal.

Think about the fact that defending this policy for Hillary is defending the McCain policy as well.

The Clinton/McCain gas tax holiday. Swell.

2. And don't forget
Congress won't pass it, nor a windfall tax on big oil, and even if they did pass it Bush would veto any bill that taxed his buddies in " BIG OIL!!

3. Suspending gas tax = laying off road construction workers.
That's basically what it boils down to. They are better off levying a windfall profits tax on big oil companies and then using the revenue for rebate checks to everybody.

have done a thing to enact such legislation.
